Solana Eyes $260 Breakout as Analysts Debate Path to $1,000

Solana’s price structure hints at accumulation, yet key levels near $84 and $120 will decide the next major trend direction.
Solana continues to draw strong attention as analysts debate whether the current structure marks a major accumulation phase or a temporary recovery. Recent price action shows renewed strength, with SOL trading near $88 after steady gains this week. Consequently, market participants now focus on whether this momentum can evolve into a broader cycle expansion or fade into another corrective leg.
Freedom By 40 highlights a compelling long-term setup based on Solana’s weekly structure. The asset previously topped near the $240–$260 range before entering a deep correction. Price later found strong demand between $20 and $40, forming a base.

Moreover, Solana now prints higher lows while holding key Fibonacci levels near $45 and $29. This behavior suggests accumulation rather than distribution. The broader range between $70 and $260 defines the current macro consolidation zone.

Significantly, a breakout above $260 could confirm a new expansion phase. Such a move may open the path toward four-digit valuations over time. Hence, positioning within the $40–$80 region remains attractive for long-term participants.

HIVE, Keel push deeper into AI data centers with capital raise, asset sale


Mining firms HIVE Digital (HIVE) and Keel Infrastructure (KEEL) are doubling down on artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, which continues the theme of a broader shift across the sector away from bitcoin mining exclusively.

HIVE raised $115 million through a zero interest convertible note offering, with proceeds earmarked for expanding its global data center footprint and GPU capacity, according to an announcement on Wednesday.

The company has increasingly leaned into Tier III data centers across Canada, Sweden and Paraguay, positioning them for both bitcoin mining, AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. The capital raise, paired with capped call protection to limit dilution, is aimed at accelerating that buildout.

Keel, meanwhile, is funding its transition by shrinking. The company completed the sale of its 70 MW Paraguay site for roughly $13 million, below initial expectations, citing deteriorating bitcoin mining economics. The move finalizes its exit from Latin America and follows its recent rebrand from Bitfarms to Keel Infrastructure.

“This is a clean exit from Latin America,” CEO Ben Gagnon said. “We are focused and committed to building the infrastructure backbone to support the AI economy in North America.”

Gagnon added that the proceeds effectively bring forward “two to three years” of expected cash flow, which will now be redeployed into Keel’s HPC and AI pipeline.

Shares of both companies have risen roughly 7%, following the announcements.

Input Output Global has submitted nine treasury proposals for 2026 that outline an upgrade plan for Cardano as it finalizes the rollout of its Leios network-scaling upgrade.

In a Wednesday post on X, IO Global said its total funding request is "just under 50%" of last year's, and voting will stay open through May 24. The proposals cover everything from core infrastructure and developer tooling to new economic models, with the Leios launch at the center of the roadmap.

"The 2030 Vision sets a clear target: Cardano must scale from today's approximately 800,000 transactions per month to over 27 million," the consensus proposal states, framing Leios as "the mechanism purpose-built to get there."

XRP added $3 million and Solana $3.28 million, signaling broader ETF momentum across board.

Momentum carried straight into the new week. No hesitation. No pause. Crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) opened Monday, April 20, with another coordinated push higher, extending a streak that is beginning to look less like a rebound and more like a trend. Five straight days of gains for all crypto ETFs now define the tone, led once again by bitcoin.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded $238.37 million in net inflows, marking a fifth consecutive day of positive flows. The structure of those inflows, however, tells a familiar story.

Blackrock’s IBIT dominated, pulling in $256.05 million and more than offsetting outflows elsewhere. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $8.10 million, continuing its steady early run, while Valkyrie’s BRRR contributed $5.81 million.

There were pockets of selling. Grayscale’s GBTC saw $24.94 million in outflows, and Fidelity’s FBTC lost $6.65 million. Still, the imbalance was clear. Demand remains concentrated but decisive. Trading volume reached $2.18 billion, with net assets closing at $100.33 billion.

Ether ETFs extended their own streak, logging an eighth consecutive day of inflows with $67.77 million added. The path, however, was not entirely smooth. Blackrock’s ETHA led with $76.05 million, while ETHB added $13.19 million, reinforcing its growing role as a steady inflow vehicle. Invesco’s QETH contributed a smaller $1.16 million.
