As of now, Ethereum is trading near $2,000, marking a 3.5% drop in the past 24 hours. The decline follows a sharp fall in gold prices, which dropped to around $4,340, recording the biggest weekly decline in over 40 years.

This move comes despite ongoing geopolitical tensions as the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran enters its fifth week.

Chart Analyst Warns Of $ETH Price Drop To $1800

Looking at the Ethereum weekly chart, Ali Martinez noted that Ethereum ($ETH) is forming a long-term rising triangle on the weekly chart. The lower line of the triangle, called the trendline, is slowly going up and gives strong support. $ETH recently touched around $2,156, bouncing from this trendline, showing buyers are defending it.

The top of the triangle, near $4,900, acts as strong resistance. If $ETH breaks above $4,900 and holds, it could rise toward $10,000 in the next few years.

Bitmine Immersion now holds over 4.66 million ETH after its latest acquisitions — over five times its closest Ethereum treasury company rival.

Bitmine’s total crypto and cash holdings currently stand at $11 billion, and the company owns around 3.86% of Ethereum’s circulating supply.

 treasury company Bitmine Immersion's holdings have reached 4,660,903 ETH — worth around $10 billion at current prices — following its latest weekly acquisitions.

Bitmine bought 65,341 ETH since its last update on March 16, reporting its total crypto and cash holdings stood at $11 billion on Monday. Bitmine did not disclose the average purchase price, but at current prices, its latest acquisition is worth around $140 million.

As of March 22, Bitmine also holds 196 BTC ($13.9 million), a $200 million stake in Beast Industries, a $95 million stake in WLD treasury firm Eightco, and total cash of $1.1 billion. The company's ETH holdings are equivalent to around 3.86% of Ethereum's current circulating supply, which sits at approximately 120.7 million ETH, according to The Block's Ether price page.

"As many have noticed, crypto and particularly ETH have outperformed the broader market since the Iran war commenced, with ETH rising 18% and outperforming equities by 2,450bp. Crypto is demonstrating itself to be a good 'war time' store of value," Lee said in a statement. "Bitmine has maintained the increased pace of ETH buys in each of the past three weeks, as our base case is ETH is in the final stages of the 'mini-crypto winter.'"

Analyst Assesses Bitcoin’s Future: “These Events Will Determine the Next Move! Five Days Are Very Critical!”
Yesterday, new developments occurred shortly before the 48-hour deadline given to Iran by US President Donald Trump expired.

Trump stated that he had held productive talks with Iran and announced a five-day pause in attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure.

Following these announcements, oil prices experienced a sharp decline, while Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoin prices saw a sharp rise.

Bitcoin, which had fallen to around $68,000 yesterday, surged to $71,000 within minutes.

Despite denials from Iran, Bitcoin remained above $70,000 and retained most of its gains.

Major altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Dogecoin (DOGE) showed a stronger recovery, rising by approximately 5%.

While the market attributes this rise to Trump’s five-day pause in attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure, some analysts say this recovery should be interpreted cautiously.

The Direction of Bitcoin Depends on the Next Five Days!

Speaking to Coindesk, Wintermute analyst Jasper de Maere said that the direction Bitcoin and altcoins will move depends on the five-day deadline given by Trump.

“The macroeconomic ceiling has changed. Whether the rise will continue, or for how long, depends on the next five days.”

The analyst believes that if energy transportation through the Strait of Hormuz returns to normal and oil prices stabilize, inflation concerns will lessen, which could revive expectations for interest rate cuts and lead to further gains in Bitcoin.

In this scenario, Bitcoin may attempt to break through the $74,000-$76,000 resistance level.

Conversely, if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, oil prices rise, and tensions between the US and Iran escalate, Bitcoin could fall to around $60,000 due to risk aversion.
