Pi Network (PI): Could Mobile Mining Crypto Pioneer PI 10x From Here?

Pi Network introduced a tap-to-earn mobile mining model that allows users to earn tokens from smartphones.

PI’s relative strength index is 78 after the token rose 106% in the last 30 days to trade at $0.2748.

If sentiment sustains, PI could hit $2.50 by Q2’s close. That would represent a 9x move from its current price and mark a one-year high.

With its own Layer-1 blockchain, simple onboarding, and a rapidly expanding user base, Pi Network could strongly benefit from the next wave of global crypto adoption.

Yield-bearing stablecoins are growing faster than the broader stablecoin market, according to Messari, as Washington remains divided over how crypto-linked yield should be treated under US law.

Yield-bearing stablecoins have outpaced the growth of the broader stablecoin market 15-fold over the past six months, according to a Messari research report published on Thursday.

The increase was driven by a 198% rise in the market cap of Circle’s USYC (USYC), a 169% increase in Paxos’ Global Dollar (USDG), a 114% rise in the value of the Tron DAO-linked Decentralized USD (USDD), and a 91% rise in Ondo Finance’s Ondo US Dollar Yield (USDY). The overall stablecoin market capitalization rose 9%.

Messari said the largest yield-bearing stablecoins are starting to function more akin to money market funds or bank deposits. “The winners don’t do payments,” Messari said, adding that the largest issuers focus their offer on a single asset, rather than payment-related use cases.

Yield-bearing stablecoins started outpacing the growth of the stablecoin supply in mid October 2025, Messari said. The trend suggests rising demand for blockchain-based US dollar products that offer yield without direct exposure to broader crypto volatility.

Yield stablecoins are currently worth a cumulative $22.7 billion, after their market capitalization rose 11% over the past 30 days, according to Stablewatch data.

Why Arthur Hayes is bullish: In an interview with CoinDesk's Jennifer Sanasie on MArkets Outlook, Hayes said Hyperliquid has separated itself from competing perpetual futures exchanges with real usage rather than incentive-driven volume.

Hayes told Sanasie he sold his firm’s $HYPE position around $50–$55 ahead of expected token unlock pressure but turned bullish again after the team chose not to sell most of its monthly token allocations.

He said Hyperliquid still generates close to a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate based on 30-day fee data.

The platform’s HIP-3 permissionless listing system has expanded trading beyond crypto into assets like oil or equity indices.

What’s driving activity: Hayes said traders are increasingly using Hyperliquid to access markets unavailable through traditional platforms.

Retail traders can trade assets like oil or Nasdaq proxies 24/7 on-chain using stablecoins and crypto wallets.

Hayes said leverage of 10x–20x is often available compared with the 2x–3x many retail investors receive on traditional brokerage platforms.

Weekend geopolitical events, such as sudden conflict announcements, have pushed traders to use Hyperliquid while traditional markets are closed.

Why Hyperliquid stands out: Hayes argued Hyperliquid’s liquidity and trading metrics show more genuine market activity than rival decentralized exchanges.

Many competing platforms rely on wash trading or token incentive programs to inflate activity, Hayes said.

He evaluates exchanges using the ratio of trading volume to open interest, which he said helps identify genuine trading demand.

Hayes said Hyperliquid has the lowest ratio among major perpetual DEXs, indicating more “real” trading.

Mastercard's expanding crypto partnerships suggest adoption, but critics argue the payments giant is shaping crypto to keep control.
Mastercard is trying to make sure the stablecoin era still needs its card services.

On Wednesday, the company launched a program with more than 85 crypto-native firms, payments providers, banks, compliance vendors, custody companies, exchanges, and infrastructure groups. On its face, that reads like another ecosystem announcement.

However, let's look at what the list implies. Mastercard is assembling the counterparties it needs so that if stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and other digital-dollar instruments become meaningful payment rails, those flows can still pass through Mastercard’s acceptance, trust, and settlement layers rather than around them.

The partner program is essentially a public index page for infrastructure already under construction. Mastercard spent years building crypto card issuance, merchant-facing acceptance tools, compliance controls, digital asset services, and tokenized settlement rails.

The new program packages those pieces into a clearer pitch: digital assets can move faster and on more programmable rails, while regulated money movement and merchant access can still run through the existing network.
The real contest here is about who controls digital money once it starts moving in remittances, merchant settlement, payouts, treasury transfers, and issuer-acquirer flows. Stablecoins create the possibility of a cheaper or faster side road around traditional card economics. Mastercard’s answer appears to be to absorb that side road into its own governed routes.
