US Vice President JD Vance struck a cautiously optimistic tone on Tuesday regarding ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran, while acknowledging that decades of mistrust between the two sides cannot be resolved quickly.
Speaking at a Turning Point USA event, Vance said Iranian negotiators have shown a genuine willingness to reach an agreement, adding that he feels “very good” about the current state of discussions. His comments come as diplomatic channels remain active despite continued volatility in the region.
The latest push for negotiations is unfolding under a fragile ceasefire, with roughly one week remaining before it expires. Tensions escalated after weekend talks collapsed, prompting the United States to impose a naval blockade on Iranian ports, further intensifying geopolitical uncertainty.
President Donald Trump also suggested that renewed negotiations could take place in Pakistan in the coming days, raising hopes for potential progress in one of the most sensitive geopolitical conflicts in recent memory. Vance, who participated in last weekend’s discussions in Pakistan, emphasized that while significant obstacles remain, both sides appear motivated to pursue a long-term resolution.
The conflict, which escalated after coordinated US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, has triggered a wider regional escalation involving retaliatory attacks and ongoing military operations across multiple fronts, resulting in significant casualties and displacement.
With the ceasefire still in place, global attention is now focused on whether upcoming talks can produce a concrete diplomatic framework capable of stabilizing the situation and reducing regional risk.

He noted that the XRP Ledger isn’t proof of stake, but highlighted that other infrastructure is in place for holders to earn yields. Expert Reveals How Holders Can Earn Passive IncomeIn an X post, Cage stated that in the next few years, crypto investors will likely be able to earn 5% to 10% on their holdings in multiple ways. He specifically alluded to XRP, noting it isn’t proof of stake, but that yield is coming through a new infrastructure being built. Additionally, he mentioned cross-chain yield, with the Flare network already providing ways for XRP holders to earn yield on its network. Other firms of yields for holders could also come through ‘Set it and forget it Yield accounts,’ wallets, applications, and exchanges that embed yields for several products. Cage also cited risky DeFi products that could give XRP holders up to 20% yield but advised against them. He described Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs) as the ‘big one’ for holders to earn yields, in which they use their holdings as collateral. They can borrow against their XRP, access liquidity without selling their asset, and the loans are not taxable events. Cage added that this is what billionaires do when they borrow against their stocks rather than sell them, triggering taxes.  Pundit

A Fake App Scam Affecting Nearly All Cryptocurrency Users Has Come to Ligh

A new fraud case has emerged in the cryptocurrency world that has attracted attention.

According to information shared by blockchain researcher ZachXBT, a fake Ledger Live application on Apple’s App Store platform stole a total of $9.5 million from more than 50 users between April 7 and 13.

According to the investigation, the attack spanned five different blockchains, including Bitcoin, EVM-based networks, Tron, Solana, and Ripple. The fake application, which obtained users’ wallet information, quickly emptied assets by redirecting them to different addresses.

ZachXBT, tracing the stolen funds, stated that the assets were laundered through more than 150 KuCoin deposit addresses. These addresses are allegedly linked to a centralized “mixer” service called AudiA6, which is claimed to offer illegal fund laundering services with high commissions. It was noted that there has been a recent increase in illegal activity on KuCoin, and it was recalled that the exchange previously paid over $300 million in fines in the US for anti-money laundering (AML) violations and was banned from registering new EU users by Austrian regulators in February 2026.

One of the most striking aspects of the incident was the magnitude of the losses suffered by some of the victims. According to on-chain data, three major investors alone lost millions of dollars. On April 9th, one user lost 3.23 million USDT, on April 11th another user lost 2.07 million USDC, and on April 8th yet another victim lost a total of 20.64 BTC, 211 stETH, and 70 ETH.
