BTC fails at $73,000, Fear & Greed at 16
Bitcoin pulled back to $71,843 after its third attempt to break above $73,000 on Thursday ended in a sell-off. Despite the setback, the leading cryptocurrency posted its strongest weekly performance since the start of the Iran conflict, gaining 7.9%. Ethereum remained largely unchanged at $2,189.

All top-10 cryptocurrencies are in the green on the weekly chart for the first time in over a month.
Ethereum is trading near $2,189, up 6.6% for the week.
The Fear and Greed Index stands at 16 (Extreme Fear) but is slowly increasing
Performance of major assets
According to CoinDesk, over the past week, Bitcoin rose 7.9%, Ethereum gained 6.6%, Solana added 5.1% to trade at $83.09, XRP increased 2.8% to $1.34, and Dogecoin rose 2.4% to $0.092. For the first time in more than a month, all assets in the top 10 cryptocurrencies are in the green on the weekly chart.



However, the $73,000 level continues to act as strong resistance. Since the ceasefire announcement on Tuesday, Bitcoin has tested this level three times, only to see each rally quickly fade. The price is now trading in a narrow range between $70,000 and $73,000 — roughly $5,000 higher than before the truce.

Analysts note that for a confirmed bullish reversal, Bitcoin needs to decisively break through at least $74,000–$75,000.

BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF has recorded a major surge in investor interest, bringing in $269 million in inflows in a single day. This marks its strongest daily performance since early March and signals renewed confidence among institutional investors.

Overall, US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a combined net inflow of $358 million, effectively ending a short period of consecutive outflows. This shift suggests that large investors are once again positioning themselves in the market despite recent price corrections.

Fidelity’s Bitcoin ETF contributed $53.3 million in inflows, while Morgan Stanley’s newly launched Bitcoin ETF added $14.9 million in just its second day of trading. Other funds, including Bitwise, ARK 21Shares, Franklin Templeton, and VanEck, also reported positive inflows, showing broad participation across the ETF landscape.

What stands out is that BlackRock’s ETF alone has accumulated approximately $1.5 billion in inflows this year, even as Bitcoin’s price declined from its 2026 high of $97,000 to around $72,000. This highlights a strong long-term “buy and hold” strategy among institutional investors, who appear less affected by short-term volatility.

In addition, Morgan Stanley described its Bitcoin ETF launch as one of the most successful in its history, indicating growing demand for regulated crypto investment products. The firm has also hinted at expanding its offerings with potential Ether and Solana ETFs in the future.

With the latest inflows, total Bitcoin ETF investments are now close to returning to positive year-to-date levels. This reflects increasing confidence in Bitcoin as a long-term asset and suggests that institutional demand remains strong despite market fluctuations.
