Donald Trump's legal team and the Internal Revenue Service are reportedly engaged in settlement negotiations over a $10 billion federal lawsuit stemming from the unauthorized disclosure of the president's private tax records. Court documents filed Friday in Miami federal court revealed that both parties have jointly requested a 90-day pause in proceedings to explore a resolution and avoid lengthy litigation.The lawsuit traces back to former IRS contractor Charles Littlejohn, who illegally leaked Trump's tax returns to major media outlets, including the New York Times and ProPublica, between 2019 and 2020. The leaked documents revealed that Trump paid minimal federal income taxes over several years. Littlejohn was subsequently charged in 2023, pleaded guilty to improper disclosures, and was sentenced to five years in prison.Trump, along with co-plaintiffs Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization, allege the leaks caused significant financial damage, reputational harm, and public embarrassment. A spokesperson for Trump's legal team maintained that the IRS failed to prevent a politically motivated employee from exposing confidential taxpayer information to left-leaning media organizations.The case presents a unique legal conflict, as Trump is effectively suing his own administration. The Department of Justice, which represents the IRS and the Treasury Department, ultimately reports to the president, raising complex conflict-of-interest concerns. Both the White House and the DOJ declined to comment on the matter. Should a settlement be reached, any resulting payout would likely be funded by taxpayers. Circle unveils USDC Bridge for native cross-chain stablecoin transfers

Stablecoin issuer Circle has launched $USDC Bridge, enabling users to transfer $USDC natively between at least 17 blockchains without needing to rely on wrapped or synthetic tokens.

On Friday, Circle’s $USDC X account said the bridge allows users to move the $USDC ($USDC) stablecoin in a “predictable, transparent way,” citing a native burn-and-mint transfer mechanism and no bridge complexities.

Gas fees will be handled automatically, fees will be shown upfront, and live status updates will be provided throughout the transfer, Circle added.

The $USDC Bridge builds on Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), which was introduced in April 2023 and facilitates hundreds of millions of stablecoin transfers each day.

Cross-chain bridges seek to make the broader crypto ecosystem interoperable, functioning as a unified network rather than a collection of fragmented, isolated blockchains.

Making bridges as simple and easy to use as possible has been an area of focus for many crypto infrastructure firms.

In the past, bridges have confused users and arguably slowed crypto adoption, especially for beginners struggling to navigate bridge interfaces, trade routes and gas fees.

The outreach covers photomasks, substrates, etchers, depositors, cleaning devices, testers, and other tools. In one instance, staff asked a supplier on a holiday Friday for estimates to be delivered the following Monday. Musk wants to move at “light speed,” the supplier was told, and Terafab is offering to pay considerably above quoted amounts if suppliers give it priority. With Bitcoin trading around $77,000, XRP is showing relative resilience, holding above $1.40. According to TradingView, the XRP/BTC rate stands near 0.00001920 BTC, placing it directly within a long-term historical support area that is now drawing increased market attention.
Short-term strength vs long-term pressure
Over the past week, XRP has gained roughly 10%, reaching $1.44 — its strongest weekly performance since January and temporarily outperforming both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
