Ethereum price is trading at $2,203 on Monday, with a mildly bullish near-term bias, holding above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $2,163 and the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement at $2,138.

Price has also pushed above the horizontal channel top near $2,148, hinting at an attempted breakout from the corrective structure, while the RSI on the daily chart is around 55 and a still-positive MACD line suggests constructive but not overextended momentum.

On the topside, initial resistance is seen near the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement at $2,380, followed by the 100-day EMA at roughly $2,353 and then the more distant 200-day EMA around $2,602, which together define a broader supply band.

Aave DAO Grants $25M and 75,000 Tokens to Aave Labs
The framework, which cleared a temperature check on April 5, restructures how Aave Labs is funded and operated.
Aave's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) has approved a $25 million stablecoin allocation and 75,000 AAVE tokens for Aave Labs, the core development team behind the protocol, under a framework called "Aave Will Win."

The vote passed on Saturday with nearly 75% in favor. The stablecoin funding will be distributed in installments over 12 months, while the token allocation vests linearly over four years, according to the governance dashboard.

The framework, which cleared a temperature check on April 5, restructures how Aave Labs is funded and operated. Under the new model, revenue from Aave products such as Aave Pro will flow to the DAO treasury rather than being retained by Aave Labs. The team will also limit its focus to Aave-related products, with the goal of accelerating development and reducing operational scope.

The proposal also ratified Aave V4 as the protocol's long-term technical foundation and outlined plans for a new foundation to steward the Aave brand. Other components of the framework tied to specific product launches and milestones will be subject to separate governance votes.

Aave is currently one of the largest DeFi protocols by total value locked, with its TVL exceeding $25 billion according to DefiLlama. The framework represents a significant shift in how the protocol's funding is structured and how its development team is compensated.

Aave founder Stani Kulechov called the proposal the most important in the protocol's history, writing in a post after the vote that holders of AAVE own not just the economic rights of the protocol, but the brand, the users, and the integrations.

The countdown for the Osaka/Mendel hard fork has begun. In this light, $BNB Chain developers' X account issues a notice to node operators on a mandatory update to perform before April 28.

The Osaka/Mendel hard fork will launch on the BSC mainnet 16 days from now, on April 28 at 2:30 a.m. UTC.

Before the Osaka/Mendel fork (April 28, 02:30 UTC), make sure your node is ready:
• Upgrade to BSC v1.7.2
• Binary replacement is enough
• Clean up old config fields

Ahead of the Osaka/Mendel fork, node operators need to get their nodes in order and upgrade to BSC v1.7.2. It is also important to ensure that binary replacement is properly set up and to clean up any outdated configuration fields. This is to prevent their nodes from losing sync.

The Osaka mainnet upgrade comes about a month after its launch on testnet. On March 24, the Osaka/Mendel hard fork was activated on the BSC testnet at block 88,379,325. The upgrade brought about more reliable block construction, improved transaction handling at scale, stronger network stability and execution accuracy.

Mendel introduces EIP-7825 via BEP-652, which adds a transaction gas limit cap at the protocol level.

BEP-652 suggests implementing a protocol-level limit on the maximum gas consumption for each transaction on BSC, capping it at 16,777,216 (or 2^24).

This ensures all nodes uniformly reject transactions exceeding the limit, which can better improve network stability and reliability compared to the prior approach of an optional soft cap mechanism.

According to leading on-chain metrics provider Santiment, the 100 largest Toncoin whales have been on a buying spree, amassing 189,730 coins over 3 months.

Notably, this high level of accumulation is unique because TON whales have not thrown in the towel despite persistent price weakness.

Why is this the case? Well, Toncoin has shed two-thirds of its market value since reaching a local high in August 2025. Presently, TON is the 28th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, and the current accumulation trend suggests that long-term conviction among the bigger players remains intact.

Historically, sustained whale accumulation even during periods of prolonged decline usually shows that sharp relief rallies might be on the horizon.

Therefore, if uncertainty in the broader crypto market eases, Toncoin stands to benefit from diminishing selling pressure and intensified accumulation among whales, with TON presently trading at $1.45 per coin, according to CoinMarketCap data.

This highlights a key theme in the current cycle: good news is being absorbed quickly without sustained upside follow-through.

Alameda moves $16 million in Solana's SOL token for possible creditor distribution
Bankrupt crypto exchange FTX's sister company Alameda Research "unstaked" roughly $16 million worth of Solana's $SOL token and moved the same to an address linked to creditor repayments, according to data source Arkham.

Unstaking refers to the process of withdrawing crypto assets that were previously locked up in a proof-of-stake (PoS) network to help secure the blockchain and earn rewards.

The latest move follows a familiar pattern: unstake coins and route them to addresses used to reimburse creditors. About a month ago, Alameda did the same, directing funds to the same distribution address. That prior move ultimately raised expectations that the funds were part of an ongoing creditor repayment process tied to the firm’s restructuring.

While there has been no formal confirmation that this specific tranche will be distributed imminently, the repetition of the pattern suggests continuity in the process rather than an isolated movement.

$SOL, the native token of programmable blockchain Solana, has a market capitalization of $47.26 billion, which makes it the seventh-largest digital asset in the world. As of writing, $SOL traded near $82, largely unchanged on a 24-hour basis, but down significantly from its all-time high of $293 hit in January last year.

Alameda, founded by Sam Bankman-Fried in 2017, began as a quantitative trading shop focused on arbitrage opportunities in digital assets, exploiting price differences across exchanges and markets.

At its peak, Alameda was a major liquidity provider across crypto markets and was deeply embedded in the ecosystem, trading billions in volume and operating across spot, derivatives, and structured products.

Alameda still holds about 3.5 million $SOL worth $294.10 million, per Arkham.
