Centrifuge [$CFG] declined more than 14% in the past 24 hours at press time, extending the double-digit decline in market cap over the past week. The daily trading volume increased, supporting the selling pressure experienced across multiple altcoins.

Trader who made $49 million shorting crypto lost $24 million on ether in 12 seconds
The wallet known as “pension-usdt.eth” had been short ether for two months. On Thursday morning it was closed out after a surge across all major tokens, and lost nearly $24 million on the trade.
The address had been one of the more successful short sellers of the year, with roughly $49 million in profits from betting against crypto. Its recent record was a run of wins — nearly $6 million on a 60,000 $ETH short closed in June, $3.6 million on a 1,400 BTC short in the same month, $1.7 million on another bitcoin short in March.
This single trade cost half of everything the wallet had made. Hyperliquid's records show the liquidation ran from 04:51:03 to 04:51:15, in five separate forced sales. First 9,989 $ETH at $2,193, then 20,698 at $2,209, then 15,830 at $2,214, then 1,871 at $2,236.
By the end there were no buyers left for the last 1,417 $ETH, so Hyperliquid absorbed it into a fund it keeps for exactly that purpose.
Ether rose $43 over those 12 seconds. The trader's own forced buying was part of what moved it, and every dollar it climbed made the remaining chunks more expensive to close.

The position was held for 1,445 hours, or a little over two months, through a stretch when bitcoin traded in a range below $65,000 and betting against it looked like the easy side. Wednesday's Treasury buyback announcement ended that, with ether surging up 18% in the past 24 horus and bitcoin zooming from $64,000 to nearly $70,000.

Hyperliquid's leaderboard shows the wallet, which trades under the display name ‘Penision Fund,’ holding just $35.61 and down 100% over 30 days, on $16.48 million of losses against $111.76 million of volume traded in that window.

As I mentioned in my previous update, BTC needed to hunt the downside liquidity first — and now it has done exactly that. After the liquidity sweep, BTC pushed strongly to the upside and absolutely smashed it. 📈🔥

Alhamdulillah, my BTC analysis has been playing out very well since I became active again and started giving regular updates.

In my last macro BTC analysis, I explained multiple possible scenarios, and so far BTC has followed the structure beautifully:

✅ I said BTC could hunt the downside liquidity — Done
✅ I said lower timeframes were starting to build bullish momentum — Done
✅ I said BTC could make a small drop before continuing toward the upside liquidity — Done
So far, the market structure is respecting our analysis very well. 🎯

📊 What Now?
Now we need to watch whether BTC can hold this bullish momentum.
🟢 $65.5K–$65K is now a very important support zone.
If BTC holds above this area, the bullish structure remains strong.

However, if BTC breaks and starts trading below $65.5K, we could potentially see another move to the downside.

🔍 Multi-Timeframe View

1D:
BTC is back inside its previous consolidation range and is currently holding above the midpoint of that old range, which is a positive sign.

4H:
The structure looks bullish and BTC is beautifully forming Higher Highs and Higher Lows (HH + HL). The $65K–$65.5K area is the key support zone for the current HL structure.

15M:
I've drawn my expected scenario directly on the chart. Let's see if price follows that structure as expected. 👀
For now, BTC looks bullish as long as it holds the key support area.

Ripple added its third Korean financial partnership this year.

Ripple expanded its South Korean banking footprint on Aug. 18 through a new Jeonbuk Bank partnership. The bank became Korea’s first regional lender to deploy Ripple Payments for business cross-border remittances. Ripple said the service would provide near real-time settlement and operate around the clock.

The deal mattered because it extended Ripple’s institutional strategy beyond custody and tokenization. Jeonbuk Bank joined Kyobo Life Insurance and Kbank as Ripple’s third Korean financial partner this year. The agreement also placed crypto payments inside a regulated banking use case focused on commercial transfers.

Ripple said Jeonbuk Bank would use Ripple Payments for international business transfers. The service targets import-export companies, information technology startups, and online content creators. Ripple said these customers had historically depended on transfers that could take days.

The company described Jeonbuk Bank as Korea’s first regional bank to deploy the payments product. Ripple said settlement could be completed within seconds to minutes and remain available 24/7. Park Choon-won, president of JB Jeonbuk Bank, described the partnership as part of the bank’s digital finance strategy.

Ripple framed the deployment against conventional correspondent banking transfers. However, Swift’s current data showed the comparison required context. Swift said nearly 60% of Swift GPI payments reached end beneficiaries within 30 minutes. Almost all completed within 24 hours.
