Dogecoin’s price action has a habit of doing the unthinkable just when the crowd has stopped paying attention. The leading meme coin is presently grinding between $0.09 and $0.10, stuck in a tight range that makes it easy to dismiss any bullish outlook. However, one analyst believes the meme coin is still on track to repeat its previous cycles.

The 1.618 Fibonacci Level And Dogecoin’s History Of Breakouts

Technical analysis from crypto analyst Javon Marks has drawn attention to a Fibonacci-based framework that, when mapped across Dogecoin’s entire price history, reveals an interesting, consistent behavior. According to Marks, Dogecoin’s previous bull cycles share a pattern where each major rally extended beyond the 1.618 Fibonacci level before reaching a new all-time high.

This behavior was visible in both the 2017 and 2021 cycles. The 2024 to 2026 cycle, however, has been different, as Dogecoin has yet to extend to the 1.618 Fibonacci extension level projected from the previous bear market low.

The chart accompanying the analysis highlights these repeating structures. In the 2017 cycle, Dogecoin’s rally topped out slightly above the 1.618 extension. In 2021, the move went even further, breaking as high as the 2.272 Fibonacci extension from the 2019 low and reaching its current all-time high of

For most of the month, maximum government spending was capped at one-twelfth above the 2025 budget and only in the final two days of the month could spending be increased by more after the 2026 budget was passed by the Knesset.Therefore March spending totaled NIS 56.7 billion while March revenues were NIS 55.1 billion. Since the start of the year spending has amounted to NIS 147 billion, up 10% from the corresponding period last year. There was exceptional revenue of NIS 8.7 billion, probably from tax paid on the Wiz-Google deal, which was sufficient to narrow the deficit by 0.5% from the previous month. The cumulative increase in ministry spending is particularly noticeable in defense spending, which rose 19% from the same period last year (January-March), while economic ministries spent almost 8% less.The Accountant General stressed that the increase in tax revenues is attributed to one-time revenues from taxation from the sale of companies. On the other hand, an increase in tax refunds, along with tax relief following the war, led to a fall in revenues. In March, all tax payments were postponed to the end of the month following the outbreak of the war, and the economy operated on a restricted basis. There was also a loss of NIS 700 million in import revenues.Chief Economist raised revenue forecastsAs part of the state budget update during the war, the Chief Economist at the Ministry of Finance raised the revenue forecast based on the higher tax revenues in the previous month. Arthur Hayes says the crypto crowd is getting hit while still fighting over the reason for the drop. In his latest essay, Arthur warns that: “I don’t know anything about war fighting,” and makes clear he has no inside line into what global leaders may do next.

What he does say he has is public data, basic math, propaganda AI agents, and a portfolio to protect.

He says there are really four possible outcomes, but one is useless for investors. Nuclear destruction is not something he thinks anyone can trade around, so he throws it out. That leaves three main paths, plus one middle case tied to a US blockade. Arthur says he is trying to find a portfolio setup that can beat hydrocarbons, food, and fuel prices in the best case, and in the worst case still do better than most major assets.

A Bitcoin transaction that costs $75 to $150 in GPU compute is not built for daily use, but it may still matter.

StarkWare chief product officer Avihu Levy has put forward a scheme called Quantum Safe Bitcoin, or QSB, that he says could make new BTC transfers resistant to quantum attacks without changing the Bitcoin protocol.

The proposal is designed to work even against a large quantum computer running Shor’s algorithm.

A Workaround Inside Bitcoin’s Existing Rules
Levy’s plan stays within the crypto’s current legacy script limits and does not require a soft fork. Instead of relying on elliptic curve math, QSB swaps in a hash-to-signature puzzle.

In simple terms, the sender must find an input whose hash output happens to look like a valid ECDSA signature, a process that depends on brute-force work rather than the kind of math quantum computers are expected to break.

That makes the scheme unusual. It does not try to rebuild Bitcoin from the ground up. It tries to bolt on a narrow shield using rules that already exist.

The researchers describe it as a temporary answer while the bigger question of its long-term quantum defense remains unsettled.

Praise, Pushback And A Narrow Use Case
StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson called the work “huge” and said it essentially makes Bitcoin quantum-safe today. But not everyone agrees with that framing.

Bitcoin ESG specialist Daniel Batten said the claim goes too far because the paper does not address exposed public keys or dormant wallets.
