The approximate monetary value of this decrease is estimated at $225.61 million. While previous data showed the company’s Bitcoin holdings at 847,363 $BTC, the current figure has dropped to 843,775 $BTC.

Bitcoin's Sharpe Ratio slides to lowest since 2022. Here's what it means.Bitcoin $BTC$62,867.66 has dropped by 28% so far this year, a brutal slide that looks even worse through the lens of the Sharpe Ratio, a metric professional investors use to determine what slice of their portfolio should be allocated to a specific asset.

The Sharpe Ratio is the gold standard for measuring risk-adjusted returns and was developed by Nobel Prize-winning economist William F. Sharpe.

Bitcoin's 365-day rolling Sharpe Ratio plummeted to -21 at the end of June, the lowest since late 2022, according to data source CryptoQuant. It was recently hovering just short of -20.

This deeply negative reading indicates that a bitcoin investor over the period took on extra market volatility while generating a return far worse than they could have earned on a risk-free investment, such as the 10-year U.S. Treasury note. The benchmark bond recently offered a yield of around 4.45%.

The Sharpe Ratio is calculated by subtracting the risk-free rate from the asset's total return over a specific period, then dividing the result by the asset's standard deviation (a measure of price volatility). A positive ratio means investors are being rewarded for taking the volatility risk. A negative ratio suggests they are being punished.

Professional investors don't just look at a coin's price relative to its long-term average to assess whether it's cheap. They use metrics such as the Sharpe Ratio to determine position sizing.

Imagine two coins: A and B. Coin A has fallen 30% from its recent high, but in a fairly steady way. Coin B has also fallen 30%, but its price is all over the place, jumping up and down by big percentages every day. Looking only at the drop from the high, both coins look equally “cheap.”

SpaceX (SPCX) is set to officially join Wall Street's tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index on July 7 after raising $75 billion in the largest iPO of all time in mid-June.

The stock immediately surged to as high as $225 in the days after the June 12 IPO,only to deflate to $162 last week. Now the big question is what happens after it is included in the Nasdaq index.

The answer is not necessarily bullish when viewed through the lens of history.

Past data suggests that index inclusion, often viewed as a positive milestone, is not a reliable bullish signal, particularly after a stock has already experienced a significant rally.

That's because, in many cases, investor optimism is already elevated and peaked, passive fund buying has largely been anticipated, and expectations are priced in.

Cardano is showing signs of life after nearly 15,000 new wallet holders joined the ecosystem in a few days, even as its price rebounded from recent lows.

According to an analysis shared by Santiment Intelligence, the number of non-empty ADA wallets has increased by 14,783 since June 23, reversing a short-lived decline in holder count. At the same time, Cardano (ADA) has climbed toward the $0.20 level for the first time in roughly a month after rebounding sharply from its recent bottom.

The combination of rising wallet activity and improving price action suggests retail participation is returning after weeks of market uncertainty. Furthermore, ADA has climbed several places higher in the crypto market cap ranking to reflect the recent price growth.

Additionally, Qiagen, Viavi Solutions, Amphenol, Lightwave Logic, GlobalFoundries, Coherent, Fabrinet, and MaxLinear saw gains of over 2%.
