Can LDO sustain the breakout? 

The charts showed that LDO had printed a double bottom pattern, and price action had broken above the neckline at $0.3366. The altcoin has been trading between the neckline and the bottom at around $0.2725.

Staying above the neckline would suggest a potential market structure shift, putting the $0.68 to $0.70 zone as a target for bulls. The Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) peaked at 4.04 million LDO as of writing, which was the maximum buying pressure of the day.

However, a true shift would happen if LDO flipped the $0.33-$0.36 zone into support.

Bitcoin surged above $76,000 after fresh US Producer Price Index (PPI) data came in below market expectations, providing a short-term boost to risk assets and crypto markets.

The move marks Bitcoin’s strongest level since early February and signals renewed bullish momentum as traders react to cooling inflation pressures. Lower-than-expected PPI figures suggest that inflation growth is not accelerating as much as feared, which typically supports higher-risk investments like Bitcoin.

Despite ongoing global uncertainties, including geopolitical tensions, markets appear to be focusing more on macroeconomic signals. However, some analysts note that inflation is still trending relatively high overall, which keeps expectations around interest rate cuts from the US Federal Reserve limited.

From a technical perspective, Bitcoin’s move above $76,000 also triggered short liquidations, adding fuel to the upward momentum. This kind of price action often leads to rapid spikes when leveraged positions are forced to close.

Traders are now watching whether Bitcoin can hold above key support levels, particularly around its medium-term trend structure. Sustained strength above this zone could confirm continuation of the bullish trend, while failure to hold could result in a pullback.

CLARITY Act Dropped From Senate Schedule: Crypto’s Biggest Bill to Miss Its Last Chance?

The Senate Banking Committee’s schedule for the week of April 20 contains one item: a nomination hearing for Federal Reserve Chairman candidate Kevin Warsh. The CLARITY Act is absent.

Chairman Tim Scott, who controls the committee calendar, has not announced a markup date for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act despite the Senate returning from Easter recess on April 13 and broad expectations that a committee vote would be called this month.

Three Hurdles Remain

Speaking on Fox Business, Scott cited three unresolved issues: the stablecoin rewards dispute between banks and crypto firms, outstanding DeFi provisions, and the need to align all Republican committee members. He indicated each issue could take another two weeks to resolve.

Senator Thom Tillis is expected to release final compromise language on stablecoin yield this week, which would represent the last draft text needed before Scott can schedule a markup.

The proposed framework bans passive yield on stablecoin balances while permitting activity-based rewards tied to transactions and platform engagement. Banks have pushed back on the draft. Tillis told Politico he remains open to further changes.

The May Deadline

The bill faces a structural time constraint. Senator Bernie Moreno has stated publicly that failure to reach the Senate floor by May effectively shelves the legislation for the rest of 2026 as midterm election politics consume the congressional calendar. Galaxy Research has calculated only 18 working weeks remain before the October midterm recess.
