Price had already broken below key support near $0.199, a zone that previously acted as a floor during recent pullbacks.

With that support invalidated, traders were assessing whether further downside could follow. The answer may depend on what happens over the next 24 hours.

Will the unlock increase selling pressure?
A major unlock event was approaching.

Roughly $36 million worth of new tokens were scheduled to enter circulation within the next day.

Such events often attract market attention because they increase the supply available to trade. That does not always lead to selling.

The crypto market has suffered a sizeable sell-off in recent hours. Since reaching a high of $65,622 on Monday, June 22, Bitcoin [BTC] has fallen by 3.55% to $62,466. The altcoin market cap has also shrunk 3.85% since Monday's high.

Since the final week of May, Worldcoin [WLD] has seen a short-term uptrend. Last week, the altcoin reached a high of $0.723 on Wednesday, June 17. Since then, it has fallen by 22.17%, and the past 24 hours of trading alone saw WLD shed 11.5%

CFTC fires back after Kentucky targets Polymarket, Kalshi
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has sued Kentucky in federal court, seeking to stop the state from enforcing gaming laws against federally regulated prediction market operators.

The case names Kentucky Governor Andrew Beshear, Attorney General Russell Coleman, Department of Revenue Commissioner Thomas B. Miller, and the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation as defendants.

The CFTC says Kentucky’s actions conflict with the Commodity Exchange Act, which gives the regulator authority over futures, options, and swaps traded on federally regulated exchanges.

“Kentucky is the latest state attempting to shut down federally-regulated event contracts,” said CFTC Chair Michael Selig.

The agency asked the court for declaratory and injunctive relief. Kentucky says sports-linked contracts need state oversight.

As I’ve consistently pledged, the @CFTC is firmly committed to maintaining its exclusive jurisdiction over prediction markets, and today’s lawsuit against Kentucky is yet another example of the Commission protecting its federal authority.

State action targets platforms

Kentucky sued Kalshi, Polymarket, and partners tied to Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull on June 17. The state said the companies offered sports event contracts without a Kentucky gaming license and without following state rules. It also argued that the products fall under the state’s definition of sports wagering.

The CFTC rejected that view in its complaint. It said Kalshi and Polymarket are designated contract markets under federal oversight. It also said Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull are registered futures commission merchants that can offer event contracts through partnerships with regulated exchanges.

Moreover, the regulator described the targeted contracts as swaps under federal commodities law.

In contrast, the Eurozone economy continues to face headwinds. Weak manufacturing PMI readings from Germany and France, along with cautious language from ECB President Christine Lagarde, have kept the euro under pressure. The ECB has signaled a potential pause in its tightening cycle, widening the interest rate differential in favor of the dollar.

Technical Picture: 1.3991 as a Key Support Level

The 1.3991 level represents a significant technical threshold for EUR/USD. It corresponds to the low reached in November 2023 and marks the lower boundary of a multi-month trading range. A decisive break below this level could open the door to further downside, with the next major support zone near 1.3850, a level not seen since early 2023.
