Cardano ($ADA) trades at $0.160, down 94.8% from its all-time high of $3.10. From the cycle’s peak price of $1.32 in December 2024, it is down 87.8%, further reflecting the deep correction that has mirrored the broader market trend.

Recently, $ADA broke below its previous cycle’s low of $0.22 to the current market price. The token now trades at price levels last seen in 2020. But could the downtrend be over for the now 16th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap?

Notably, the crypto market often moves through cycles, with bullish and bearish phases unfolding over multiple years. An example is what happened between 2021 and 2023. Cardano grew by 621% in 2021 to its peak and current all-time high of $3.10.

After reaching the peak, $ADA entered a deep correction that erased a significant portion of its gains. It spent years consolidating before building a base. June 2023 marked an important shift in Cardano’s structure as the market found stability. The coin finally bottomed out at $0.22 after a staggering 93% crash.
What followed was months of recovery that carried $ADA substantially higher into late 2024. It rose an impressive 500% from the low to the December 2024 high, as bulls reclaimed control of the market from bears.

Now, attention is once again turning to June 2026. Cardano has dropped to multi-year lows and has also dropped well below prior highs, with some analysts suggesting the possibility of a price bottom.

One of the reasons for this bias is the timing of the previous bottom. $ADA formed a base in June 2023, exactly 21 months after its 2021 peak. Currently, it has been 19 months since the coin peaked in December 2024. If $ADA finds a durable base as it did three years ago, then a turning point is near.

MoneyGram Becomes Solana Validator in Blockchain Push
MoneyGram has joined the Solana blockchain as a validator, expanding its stablecoin and blockchain payments strategy across three networks.
MoneyGram has become a validator on theSolana (SOL) blockchain, the company said Monday. The move marks its entry into the Solana ecosystem and makes Solana the third network where MoneyGram runs an official validator, joining Tempo and the Midnight Network.

Operating a validator lets MoneyGram stake SOL tokens, process transaction blocks, and help secure Solana's proof-of-stake network. The company also joined the Solana Developer Platform, which gives it access to tools for building financial products on Solana alongside other institutions, including Mastercard.
MoneyGram CEO and Chairman Anthony Soohoo said institutions that rely on blockchain infrastructure should also help maintain it. "By becoming a validator, MoneyGram contributes to the long-term strength of the ecosystem," he said.

Soohoo said the company has spent more than five years building real-world payment products using blockchain and stablecoins. He described blockchain as a tool for making money movement faster and more accessible, rather than a goal in itself.

Bitcoin price has closed above the 200-week moving average for another week, adding to the growing view that the market is holding up well. Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe said another weekly close above this level is a strong sign.

He said if BTC price keeps moving higher and gets back to the $68,000 area, the market could see a strong period for altcoins again.

He also pushed back against calls for a drop to $40,000. Many traders are still waiting for that level, but he said the way Bitcoin is trading today does not support such a sharp fall.

The middle Bollinger Band, representing the 20-day simple moving average, has flattened and is sloping slightly lower near 1.1580, reinforcing the bearish bias.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily chart has dipped below 40, entering bearish territory but not yet oversold. This suggests room for further downside before exhaustion becomes a factor. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains below its signal line with expanding red histogram bars, confirming that downside momentum is building.

Galaxy Research reports that net outflows of $6.35 billion over the past 30 days have caused U.S. spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs to record their worst monthly performance since their inception.

If the trend continues, such prolonged outflows could lessen the short-term demand support for Bitcoin prices. Needless to say, these outflows usually indicate waning investor sentiment, profit-taking, or a more general shift toward risk-off positioning.

Winners and losers of Bitcoin ETF

During these 30 days, BlackRock's IBIT experienced the biggest outflows, totaling $4.51 billion, making it the loser of the month. Morgan Stanley's MSBT, on the other hand, saw $1.25 billion in inflows after winning in these 30 days.

While this happened, Bitcoin's price dropped from about $76K in early May to $64K at the time of publication.

Elon Musk has long been a supporter of Dogecoin (DOGE), the original meme coin and still the largest by market cap. He first mentioned it in 2019, calling it one of his favorite cryptocurrencies. Since then, Dogecoin’s price has repeatedly surged on Musk-related headlines, including his 2021 appearance on Saturday Night Live.

The Dogecoin “moon mission”

The latest catalyst is tied to SpaceX and the long-delayed DOGE-1 lunar mission.

Musk originally tweeted in April 2021 that SpaceX would “put a literal Dogecoin on the literal moon.” The statement was later confirmed as an actual project rather than a joke.

In May 2021, Geometric Energy Corp. booked a lunar mission via SpaceX’s rideshare program, which includes an 88-pound CubeSat named DOGE-1. The mission was fully paid for in Dogecoin.

The launch was originally scheduled for 2022 but has been postponed multiple times. It is now currently expected to launch on September 14, 2026.

But there’s a catch

Despite the strong hype potential, there is no guarantee that the mission will have a lasting impact on DOGE’s price. The launch has been repeatedly delayed, and crypto markets today are generally less reactive to hype-driven news than in previous cycles.

Even if the mission eventually launches, its effect may be more of a short-term sentiment spike rather than a sustained price rally.
