Bitcoin ETFs shed a record $6.4B in 30 days amid crypto winter chill

US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their largest 30-day net outflow since launching in January 2024 amid a crypto bear market.

According to data from Galaxy Research, US Bitcoin ETFs saw $6.35 billion in net outflows over a trailing 30 trading days. It also comes as they registered their sixth week of outflows last week, bringing their cumulative net flow to $53.4 billion, down from their $63 billion peak in October 2025.

Galaxy Research said the daily outflows are “still deepening day over day.”

The outflows could reflect waning sentiment from institutional investors for Bitcoin. However, BlackRock US head of equity ETFs Jay Jacobs told Cointelegraph on Thursday that there are many other reasons why outflows occur day to day.

Adam Back says Strategy’s Bitcoin sale is a feature, not a flawBlockstream CEO Adam Back said concerns over Strategy’s small Bitcoin sale are overblown, framing the move as normal treasury management rather than a warning sign for the company’s Bitcoin plan.

Speaking in a Bloomberg interview shared on YouTube, Back addressed questions about Strategy selling 32 $BTC to help pay preferred stock dividends. He said the sale showed the firm could meet obligations while keeping Bitcoin at the center of its balance sheet.

Back argued that the market should not treat the 32 $BTC sale as a bearish signal. In his view, Strategy used a small part of its Bitcoin position to support investor payments and reduce pressure on the capital structure.He also said the move showed how Bitcoin can function inside a corporate treasury. Rather than showing weak conviction, it showed that a company can hold Bitcoin, raise capital against it and use a limited amount when cash needs arise.

Back’s argument also places the sale inside a larger shift in corporate Bitcoin finance, where companies use $BTC alongside preferred shares, debt, common equity, and market tools today.

Today, the conversation has shifted toward upside liquidity targets and the possibility of a broader recovery phase. That transition in market psychology is often what separates a temporary bounce from a developing trend. As a result, the market’s attention is rapidly moving away from recent lows and toward a $68K target that sits thousands of dollars higher.

A Massive Liquidity Pocket Is Emerging: What It Means for BTC
While Bitcoin has successfully reclaimed $63,000, many traders believe the more important story lies closer to $68,000. According to liquidity map data, a substantial concentration of orders has formed above current prices following the recent correction. Much of the downside liquidity below $60,000 was already swept during the latest selloff, leaving fewer attractive targets beneath the market.

Historically, Bitcoin has shown a tendency to move toward areas where liquidity is heavily concentrated. Those zones often become magnets for price action as traders position around leveraged orders and large market interest. The growing liquidity pocket around $68,000 is therefore becoming one of the most closely watched levels across the crypto market. Bitcoin is trading at $64,167 at the time of writing, down 17.4% over the past month. The asset has been pressured by macroeconomic factors, including an increase in US inflation, along with the ongoing war between the US and Iran.

When Will Kiyosaki Start Buying Again?

It has been a wild year for investors in all assets. Bitcoin’s price began the year with a surge toward $100,000, where it was stopped, and the subsequent months were quite painful. The correction culmination, at least for now, was in early June at $59,100. $ETH followed a similar path, dumping to $1,500 a few weeks back. Although both have recovered some ground since then, they are still deep in the red YTD.

Even the two largest precious metals, typically considered more stable and reliable, have bled out. Silver pumped above $120 at the start of the month, but now sits nearly 50% away from that peak. Gold rocketed to $5,600/oz, but its crash has been quite painful, ending the business week at under $4,160/oz (a 25% correction).

Robert Kiyosaki believes these dips are not the only factor that matters. In fact, he admitted that he has recently made this mistake of “letting price determine reasons to buy or sell any asset.” He has now learned to “understand the ‘context’ or the environment the asset is in… not the price.”

The author and investor explained that he has shifted his focus to the technical charts of the four assets mentioned above and “will buy when prices reverse their decline.” Moreover, he predicted that the two precious metals are “poised for a massive rise in prices.”
