Uniswap has surged more than 25% on Wednesday after Standard Chartered initiated coverage of $UNI with a $100 price target for 2030, triggering one of the strongest rallies among large-cap cryptocurrencies this week.

According to data from crypto.news, Uniswap ($UNI) climbed to an intraday high of $3.70 on June 17 before stabilizing around $3.64 at press time. The move extended the token’s weekly gain to nearly 50%, making it the top-performing asset among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies over both the daily and weekly timeframes.

The rally began shortly after Standard Chartered’s digital assets team launched research coverage on $UNI. In a note dated June 15, the bank argued that Uniswap is positioned to become a key piece of infrastructure for tokenized finance as traditional assets move on-chain.

According to Standard Chartered Head of Digital Assets Research Geoffrey Kendrick, tokenized assets active in decentralized finance could expand dramatically over the remainder of the decade.

$XRP has failed to maintain a clear price direction in recent times, with uptrends followed by pullbacks to lower prices. According to prominent market watcher EGRAG Crypto, this price action is not random but part of a broader range trend.

In his recent analysis, he highlighted what needs to happen for $XRP before bulls can gain control of the market again and force a breakout to higher prices.

EGRAG identified the battle between buyers and sellers. The former is defending key support areas while the latter is fighting to keep $XRP below important resistance areas. This behavior led to the conclusion that the coin is currently in a “range-rebuild” phase.

Most recently, $XRP visited $1.05, breaking below its February low of $1.12. However, prices rebounded sharply, as buyers stepped in to violently defend the demand zone. Notably, the daily closing on that day printed a long lower wick, showing clear price rejection.

The analyst highlighted that this was not random but confirmed his analogy that both bulls and bears keep stepping in at key levels in an attempt to regain control of the market. The upper wick seen on the daily closing on June 15 also reflected higher price rejection as bears defended the $1.30 resistance area.

EGRAG noted that the levels are clear, and how $XRP reacts to each of them will determine whether its rebuilding phase continues or further price weakness endures. One of the most important support levels to watch is the $1.11 level.

He called this the “survival zone” where bulls need to defend to avoid an aggressive downtrend. Holding it invalidates the possibility of a crash to $0.88.

IT Tech, an analyst from the cryptocurrency analysis platform CryptoQuant, published a noteworthy assessment of the altcoin market. According to the analyst, selling pressure on crypto assets other than Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) on spot exchanges has reached its most extreme levels in the last five years. Data shows that the trend of investors exiting altcoins has been ongoing for a long time, and risk appetite in the market has weakened significantly.

The analysis indicated that altcoins have faced net selling pressure in spot markets for 15 consecutive months. During this period, selling volumes consistently outpaced buying volumes, creating a persistent imbalance in the market. According to CryptoQuant data, the difference between the total trading volume of altcoins, excluding $BTC and $ETH, has fallen to its lowest negative level since data collection began in 2020.

Analyst IT Tech emphasized that this indicator is critical for understanding investor behavior. According to them, a large portion of investors trading in the altcoin market have been net sellers for a long time. This could indicate a shift of capital towards Bitcoin, which is perceived as safer, or traditional financial instruments.

Although data showed that the difference between buying and selling volumes in altcoins was almost balanced in early 2025, this improvement was not permanent. In the following months, the indicator turned sharply negative again and continued its downward trend. Thus, selling pressure in the altcoin market accelerated again.

Experts note that the current situation reveals investors are acting more cautiously towards risky assets. However, some market observers point out that oversold levels have historically been a harbinger of long-term recoveries. Nevertheless, it is assessed that in the short term, the direction of the
