Fund-by-Fund Breakdown: Mixed Signals Across Issuers

The day’s flows revealed a stark divergence among major issuers. Grayscale’s GBTC, the largest Bitcoin fund by assets under management, saw the heaviest outflows at $124 million. This marked a notable reversal for the fund, which has experienced intermittent periods of net inflows since converting to a spot ETF structure in January.

In contrast, BlackRock’s IBIT attracted $66.4 million in new capital, maintaining its position as the most popular spot Bitcoin ETF among institutional investors. Ark Invest’s ARKB added $6.6 million, while Morgan Stanley’s newly launched MSBT fund drew $9.4 million. Grayscale’s lower-fee Bitcoin Mini Trust also posted a modest inflow of $10.6 million.

On the losing side, Fidelity’s FBTC shed $8.7 million, Franklin Templeton’s EZBC lost $5.8 million, and VanEck’s HODL declined by $6.1 million.

Market Context and Implications

The mixed flow data comes amid a broader period of consolidation for Bitcoin, which has traded in a range between $65,000 and $70,000 over the past week. Analysts point to lingering macroeconomic uncertainty, including Federal Reserve interest rate policy and regulatory developments, as factors influencing institutional appetite.

The daily volume climbed to $5.78 million, representing a 2.05% increase and indicating that participation had started returning alongside the price recovery. As a result, the rally appeared to attract fresh interest rather than relying solely on thin liquidity.

However, BUILDon still traded below the important $0.30 resistance level, leaving buyers with additional work before confirming a broader breakout.

Exchange inflows raise fresh questions

Exchange activity remained active despite periods of volatility across the market. Spot flow data showed inflows of roughly $217,190 against outflows of about $154,370 during the latest reading period.

This left a positive net balance of approximately $62,820, indicating that more tokens moved onto exchanges than off them.

Earlier sessions also displayed several strong inflow spikes, with some exceeding $10 million, highlighting elevated transfer activity during recent weeks.

While daily flows fluctuated, sustained net inflows to exchanges often increase the amount of supply available for sale. Therefore, the latest flow pattern introduced a note of caution as BUILDon approached a major resistance area.

Whether these inflows translate into actual selling activity could play a key role in determining the token’s next directional move.

The CLARITY Act has advanced toward a potential July Senate vote, though negotiations over conflict-of-interest provisions continue to divide lawmakers.

According to David Nage, managing director and portfolio manager at Arca, discussions with Senate offices and staff members in Washington left him convinced that most of the work surrounding crypto market structure legislation has already been completed.

In a recent report, Nage wrote that the industry and policymakers are roughly “80–85%” aligned on the substance of the bill despite public disagreements that continue to generate headlines.
