The chart framework, known as the MarketMaker Buy Model, argues that large institutional players move markets in predictable stages designed to transfer Bitcoin from emotional retail traders into stronger, long-term holders before pushing prices significantly higher. During this period, Bitcoin traded in a choppy downward pattern. This type of movement indicated that large holders were selling their Bitcoin amid strong demand from retail traders buying aggressively near the market top. The second stage identified by Merlijn The Trader is the "Flush," marked by the red box on the chart. This phase saw a sharp and aggressive price decline designed to force weaker traders out of the market.

'XRP Keeps Growing,' Ripple CEO Says Amid Solana Milestone


Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has reacted to $XRP's recent interoperability milestone on Solana. Wrapped $XRP (wXRP) went live on Solana, enabled by Hex Trust and Layer Zero.

"Growing demand for $XRP is driving liquidity cross-chain, opening new paths across ecosystems and expanding the overall market," Garlinghouse wrote in a tweet in reaction to the milestone.

$XRP utility has expanded on Solana with wXRP, allowing individual users and institutions alike to gain access to the token through the wrapped token issued by Hex Trust.

Authorized users can send native $XRP to Hex Trust, which then mints wXRP tokens on Solana or supported Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains such as the Ethereum mainnet, Optimism or HyperEVM.

First announced in December, the move opens up the use of $XRP beyond $XRP Ledger, increasing its use in market-making and decentralized finance (DeFi) on Solana.

What comes next as $XRP's institutional era arrives

In a tweet, Ripple stated that $XRP's institutional era is now, supported by ETFs. For years, legal uncertainty kept institutional capital away from $XRP, but regulatory clarity has arrived now. Futures markets have launched, with the path to institutional access now opened.

Ripple believes that the $XRP ETF market is still young. While seven U.S. spot ETFs with $1.53 billion in AUM and 773 million $XRP tokens in custody represent meaningful progress, there is still plenty of room to grow. The JPMorgan prediction of $4 to 8.4 billion in first-year inflows has not yet been tested by a full bull cycle.

Bitcoin’s recent price behavior has kept traders split between those expecting another leg down and those calling that a bottom is already in. That tension is now feeding different technical analyses, with one analyst arguing that the probability of a deeper crash has dropped significantly based on long-term signals.

Chance Of Bitcoin Making New Lows Is Very Small
Bitcoin has spent months testing the patience of its holders since its all-time high of $126,000 in 2025. According to crypto analyst Sykodelic, there is a compelling case that the drawdown is done and that the probability of Bitcoin revisiting new lows at this point has dropped massively.

Sykodelic’s rationale leans heavily on the behavior of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the weekly candlestick timeframe chart. According to his analysis posted on X, Bitcoin has just printed a powerful bullish break on the weekly RSI, and what makes this particular reading extraordinary is not just where it bounced from but how low it got before doing so.

The weekly RSI has only fallen below 30 on three occasions in BTC’s history, with the most recent being Q1 2026. However, the RSI is now back into the normal zone, and it has broken above a descending trendline that touches lower highs. According to the analyst, this scenario means that the probabilities are now very slim for new lows of any kind.

The Bottom Signals Have Stacked Up
The RSI break did not arrive on its own. Sykodelic noted that multiple bottom indicators have converged simultaneously, a convergence he described as reaching a very high degree. According to him, about 12 important bottom indicators have fired, and Bitcoin is showing it here.

$12 trillion brokerage and commercial bank Charles Schwab has launched a phased roll-out for its Spot crypto trading division.

Dubbed Schwab Crypto, the platform will be live in the upcoming weeks and will offer direct access for retail investors to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

Only the two top crypto assets will be supported for now. Other crypto assets will be added over time.

The platform will allow users to view both their crypto assets and traditional assets, including stock and ETF holdings. The launch comes after recent speculation that the firm was planning a major move into spot crypto support. 

Commenting on the debut, Joe Vietri, head of digital assets at Charles Schwab, said the move was aimed at helping retail investors diversify their portfolio.
