Meanwhile, Iran signaled a much tougher stance on the ground. A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters stated that due to what it described as repeated U.S. violations of commitments, Iran has restored full control over the strait. The area, according to Iranian officials, is now under strict supervision by its armed forces.
This dual narrative — diplomatic optimism paired with military assertiveness — highlights the fragile balance currently shaping U.S.–Iran relations. While both sides are engaged in dialogue, actions on the ground suggest neither is willing to ease strategic pressure just yet.
