Stablecoin compliance startup Range raises $8.3 million from fintech and crypto VCs

Range provides a real-time ledger across bank accounts, custodians, wallets, and exchanges, as well as a pre-execution compliance-monitoring tool.  

Its Series A was backed by traditional fintech funds Swiss-based TX Ventures and U.S.-based SixThirty, as well as crypto-native firms Maven 11 Capital and Onigiri Capital.

Stablecoin startup Range has raised $8.3 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round, according to an announcement on Thursday. This brings the Zug-based firm’s total funding to $11 million. 

Traditional fintech funds, including Swiss-based TX Ventures and U.S.-based SixThirty, supported the round, alongside crypto-native firms Maven 11 Capital and Onigiri Capital.

Range provides a unified platform for companies operating across both stablecoins and fiat, and counts clients including Circle, the Solana Foundation, Stellar, Squads, and Jupiter, among others. 

The startup offers two core products. Unify acts as a real-time system of record that connects bank accounts, custodians, wallets, and exchanges into one ledger, while Protect serves as a pre-execution control layer that screens onchain transactions for sanctions, fraud, compliance, and internal policy violations.

In the announcement, Range said it tracks 99.41% of all stablecoin payments and tens of billions worth of monthly payment volumes. Its Unify system protects more than $30 billion in customer assets and integrates with over 10,000 banks, custodians, and wallets, per the firm.

"Stablecoins and fiat are converging, and finance teams need one platform to run both safely and at scale," Range CEO Andres Monteoliva said. "The hard part was never moving stablecoins.

How Does Internet Computer Compare to AWS and Google Cloud for Developers?
Internet Computer Protocol ($ICP) gives developers a way to host full-stack applications entirely on a blockchain, cutting out AWS, Google Cloud, and every other centralized server in between. That is the core difference. Everything else, pricing, tooling, learning curve, and ecosystem maturity, flows from that one fact.

$ICP is a Layer 1 blockchain built by the DFINITY Foundation and launched in 2021. It is not just a smart contract platform. It runs frontend code, backend logic, and data storage all on-chain. That puts it in direct competition with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, not just with Ethereum or Solana.

As of June 17, 2026, $ICP is trading around $2.40–$2.60 with a market cap near $1.34 billion, ranked around #57–#60 among all cryptocurrencies.

What Is Internet Computer Protocol and How Does It Work?

$ICP runs applications through what it calls canisters, its version of smart contracts. A canister bundles both the code and the data for an application into a single unit. Unlike Ethereum smart contracts, canisters can serve web content directly to users, handle long-running backend processes, and store data on-chain without relying on external services like Firebase, AWS S3, or Auth0.

Developers pay for compute using cycles, which are generated by converting $ICP tokens. This mirrors how AWS bills for compute time, but the control and execution happen across independently operated nodes rather than Amazon's data centers.

The network is governed by the Network Nervous System (NNS), an on-chain DAO where $ICP token holders stake tokens into "neurons" to vote on protocol upgrades and economic decisions.

Tether AbT* today announced that it will begin the planned wind-down of Alloy by Tether and aUSD₮, following a review of user activity, market demand, and the company’s broader priorities.

Alloy by Tether was launched as an open platform designed to explore the creation of digital assets backed by Tether Gold tokens (“XAU₮”), including aUSD₮, an overcollateralized digital asset backed by XAU₮. Since launch, the platform has provided valuable insights into demand for gold-backed digital assets, collateralized products, and the ways users interact with tokenized real-world assets.

Following this review, Tether has decided to focus resources on areas where it is seeing stronger user demand, deeper liquidity, and broader long-term market opportunity, including XAU₮ and other core products across its ecosystem.

The wind-down will take place in phases to support an orderly transition. As a first step, starting today, the Alloy by Tether interface will be updated to remove the ability to open new positions or mint new aUSD₮. Tether is taking this approach to ensure users have a clear path to unwind existing positions while preventing new exposure from being created during the wind-down period.

The FOMC statement said officials voted 12-0 to keep the federal funds target range at 3.50% to 3.75%.

The Hashgraph Group, a Web3 and AI engineering company, and Truesense, a developer of ultra-wideband sensing technology, announced the filing of a European patent application for Continuous Identity Trust Infrastructure (CITI). The new system is designed to connect proof of a person’s physical presence with a decentralized digital identity while protecting personal data.

The patent application was submitted to the European Patent Office on April 4, 2026, and covers more than 44 European countries. The companies are also preparing a patent filing in the United States.

CITI combines three technologies: ultra-wideband (UWB) sensing, decentralized identifiers (DIDs), and zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) cryptography. Together, these technologies make it possible to verify that a person was physically present at a specific place and time without revealing personal information or location details.

The system works by first detecting a person’s presence through UWB sensors. This event is then linked to a decentralized identity stored in a digital wallet. A verifiable credential is generated, containing a timestamp and cryptographic proof that is permanently recorded on a distributed ledger. Third parties can later verify the credential without accessing sensitive data.

According to the companies, the technology could be used in sectors where identity verification is important, including finance, healthcare, sports, and entertainment. For example, a person could enter a secured building using a digital identity wallet instead of an access badge. The verification event would be recorded on the Hedera network, creating an auditable record while reducing the risk of credential sharing.
