The Ethereum Foundation staked 45,034 ETH, valued at about $93 million, on Friday morning, increasing its total staked holdings to roughly $143 million and putting it close to achieving the bold 70,000 ETH staking target it outlined earlier this year.It's been a swift ramp-up for the Ethereum Foundation, which only started staking in February, signaling a strategic pivot to earning yield from its treasury rather than offloading its holdings. The 45,034 ETH deposit was divided into equal batches of 2,047 ETH each-valued at approximately $4.23 million per batch-and transferred from the foundation's treasury multisig wallet to the Eth2 Beacon Chain deposit contract, according to data tracked by Arkham Intelligence. Thursday's deposits have lifted the Ethereum Foundation's total staked holdings to around 69,500 ETH (worth roughly $143 million). With institutional staking yields currently ranging between 2.7% and 3.8% APY, the Foundation could generate an estimated $3.9 million to $5.4 million in annual returns. The Ethereum Foundation's portfolio, tracked by Arkham Intelligence, shows roughly $271 million in assets spread across 14 addresses, with ETH dominating at about 102,400 ETH (around $209 million). Smaller holdings include USDC, BNB, and a modest amount of Bitcoin.The EF kicked off its staking strategy in February with an initial 2,016 ETH, revealing plans to deploy roughly 70,000 ETH (worth about $143 million today) in total. Judge continues Nevada ban on Kalshi sports markets
A state judge in Nevada extended a temporary ban on prediction market provider Kalshi's sports-related contracts in the Silver State on Friday.

Judge Jason Woodbury in the First Judicial District Court told attorneys at a hearing in the Carson City courthouse that he would also grant the Nevada Gaming Control Board's request to impose a preliminary injunction against Kalshi banning it from offering some of its prediction markets until a broader court case from the state gaming regulator could be resolved. He extended the temporary restraining order he first granted on March 20 by two weeks to sort out the language of the injunction, Reuters reported Friday.

The judge's original temporary restraining order blocked Kalshi from offering sports, entertainment and election-related bets.

The judge said buying a contract on a baseball game on Kalshi was "indistinguishable" from placing a bet on a state gaming platform, Reuters reported.

"So I find based on the arguments that ​have been presented that it is a gaming activity that is prohibited for any non-licensee ​to engage in," he said.

Spokespeople for Kalshi and the Nevada Gaming Control Board did not return requests for comments.

State regulators have moved to block prediction market providers in much of the U.S., arguing that these companies' sports-related products appear to be gambling products that should be regulated at the state level. Kalshi and other prediction market providers argue that they are federally regulated designated contract markets offering swaps, a type of derivative product, and therefore are not subject to state regulators.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission, helmed by Chairman Mike Selig, has taken a stance agreeing with these companies. It filed an amicus brief in an appeals court case earlier this year, and sued Arizona, Illinois and Connecticut on Thursday alongside the Department of Justice, arg

As of this writing, RENDER traded at $1.91, up 11.23% on the daily charts, adding to its 6% weekly gains. Over the same period, the altcoin’s volume rose 48% to $81.5 million, reflecting increased market participation.

RENDER speculators take hold of the market
While the market continued to suffer from reduced liquidity, RENDER has shown solid strength, consistent with active market participation.

On the derivatives side in particular, RENDER has experienced sustained demand for Futures positions. CoinGlass data showed that altcoin Open Interest rose 21% to $60 million, while derivatives volume climbed 35% to $128 million.

Such a jump in OI and Volume showed increased Futures market participation and steady capital inflows. In fact, over $9 million flowed into the futures positions over the past eight hours as of the 3rd of April.

Meanwhile, the altcoin’s Long/Short Ratio rose to 1.28, signaling a higher demand for long positions. As such, longs accounted for 56%, while shorts accounted for 43% of the total Futures positions.

When longs dominate, it suggests that most participants were bullish and aggressively positioned for more gains.

Profit takers return to the market
With RENDER reaching a three-week high, holders who have been underwater rushed to cash out.

Looking at exchange activity, Spot Netflow turned positive after being negative for two consecutive days. At press time, Netflow was $460k, a significant reversal from -$507 the previous day.

A positive netflow implied that the market saw more sellers than buyers. Such a shift in market behavior has historically weakened the market and led to pullbacks. Thus, extended profit realization could threaten recent gains and cause another slip.

However, the transaction followed closely behind a sizeable sell-off of roughly 450,000 HYPE, worth $15.52 million, executed within a similar window.

While the inflow marginally outweighs the outflow, the proximity of both transactions underscores the indecision among large holders.

Such visibility into whale positioning often shapes broader market behavior. Traders tend to mirror these flows, amplifying short-term volatility as liquidity shifts rapidly between buying and selling pressure.

The accumulation trend holds
Despite the recent sell-side activity, underlying data suggests that accumulation remains intact.

Spot Exchange Netflow—which measures the movement of assets into and out of centralized exchanges—shows that around $11.7 million worth of HYPE has exited exchanges over the past three days.

This trend typically reflects growing investor preference to hold rather than sell.
