Cardano is already being used by roughly 200 large companies in Germany through agentic AI deployments, even if those firms do not realize the blockchain is sitting underneath their stack, according to Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard. The claim, made during an interview with Jane King on GBBC’s Markets on Chain series from the New York Stock Exchange published April 16, points to a version of blockchain adoption that is less visible to end users but potentially more embedded in enterprise infrastructure.

200 German Companies Use Cardano Without Even Knowing It

Gregaard framed the Cardano Foundation’s role as pushing blockchain into systems people use without necessarily recognizing it. “We have about 200 companies in Germany who live on agentic AI, fairly large companies, and they don’t even know they’re using Cardano as a security layer, as a digital identity layer and as an accountability layer,” he said. “Part of when you have, for instance, agentic AI who’s using data from two different databases, [is] ensuring that the agentic AI is who they say they are, that they have the data they claim without disclosing it, because we want privacy.”

That argument was central to Gregaard’s broader pitch: blockchain, in his view, is becoming an underlying trust and coordination layer for AI-driven systems rather than simply a rails story for tokens or payments. He described a model where users could interact with seamless consumer applications while Cardano handles provenance, identity and compliance in the background. Currently, the price is experiencing significant upward pressure as it plunges below $76,500. The underlying data presents a more complex picture than the price action suggests, as the on-chain and derivatives signals reveal the token being in a transition phase. 

This raises a key question for traders: is Bitcoin preparing for a breakout toward new highs or setting up for another rejection at resistance?

Bitcoin has rebounded from the $65,000 region and is now testing the $76,000–$78,000 resistance zone, a level that has repeatedly capped upside in recent weeks. Despite the recovery, the broader structure still lacks a confirmed breakout, with price yet to establish a clear higher high above this range.

RAVE spikes 47% in squeeze-driven move: Is $29 about to get wiped?

$RAVE’s 47.97% surge to $27.21 came as derivatives activity intensified, with Open Interest nearing $500M and extreme Funding Rates triggering forced short liquidations.

The rally had clearly outpaced the broader market’s 2.7% gain, reflecting a highly concentrated move driven by positioning.

Notably, over 90% of the token supply had remained concentrated in top wallets, which kept liquidity thin and amplified $RAVE price reactions.

As a result, cascading short liquidations had accelerated upward pressure while traders rushed to cover positions. Funding Rates had also surged to extreme levels, reportedly reaching up to 5,600% APR. This made short positions increasingly expensive to maintain.

This dynamic had created a feedback loop, where rising prices forced further liquidations. However, such conditions often raise concerns about sustainability once forced buying begins to slow.

Outflows tighten supply as sell pressure fades

On-chain data had shown persistent negative Spot Netflows, with the latest recorded outflow at -$840.69K.

This sustained outflow pattern had indicated that traders moved $RAVE away from exchanges into private wallets, reducing the immediately available supply for selling.

As a result, declining exchange balances had eased sell-side pressure and supported the ongoing price expansion.

However, despite this reduction in available supply, the broader move had remained largely influenced by derivatives activity rather than consistent Spot demand.

If inflows begin to return, it could reintroduce sell pressure and weaken the current structure, especially as leveraged positions start to unwind.

GalaxyOne Head Zac Prince said he’s “not particularly excited” about prediction markets when it comes to enabling customers to build long-term wealth.

The executive highlighted the retail investment platform’s recent support of Solana staking and associated lending products in the firm’s pipeline.

Staking has enabled competitors like Coinbase to diversify revenue, while others like Robinhood have embraced prediction markets as growth drivers.

For Galaxy’s retail investment platform, enabling customers to bet on the news isn’t a priority, according to Zac Prince, head of GalaxyOne. Rather, the service that debuted in October is being built in a way that’s intended to reward investors’ patience, he told Decrypt.

Within the context of Galaxy’s broader business, Prince said the financial services and investment management firm is already in a good place as far as prediction markets are concerned, providing institutional clients with internal trading and risk management.

When it comes to consumers that GalaxyOne was built for, who have anywhere between $100,000 and $1 million in investible assets, he described prediction markets as tools that may not align with many affluent consumers for building long-term wealth.

“For individual consumers, I’m not particularly excited about it versus other things we have on our roadmap,” he said. “I haven’t been able to find a use case for someone who’s building a diversified portfolio—that they’re going to allocate to for the long term—for prediction markets.”
In some ways, the sentiment echoes commentary from Charles Schwab President and CEO Rick Wurster, who indicated this week that America’s largest discount brokerage would limit prediction-market access to wagers focused on financial events if it enters that territory.

Ali indicated that this price move represents a significant structural shift. The analyst indicated that Ethereum flipping the $2,385 into a support floor neutralizes recent sell signals and might suggest a major trend continuation.

With the overhead supply cleared, Ali stated that the technical objective for this formation is now $2,900. As long as Ethereum holds above the breakout zone at $2,385, the advantage will continue to tilt toward bulls.

Ethereum short-term price action

Ethereum rose to a high of $2,466 on April 17, extending its recovery from a March 29 low of $1,937. $ETH's price faced resistance at this level as sellers sought to halt the recovery. Bulls continued to press in and did not allow $ETH's price to dip below $2,300.

If $ETH's price continues to hold above the highlighted $2,385 level, the recovery may extend to $2,900, then to $3,050. Such a move suggests that Ethereum may have bottomed out at $1,742.

This bullish view will be invalidated in the near term if the price turns down sharply and breaks $2,300. That would suggest the recent rise might have been a bull trap. $ETH could then decline to the $1,916 level.
