A First in Japan! Bitcoin Exchange Launches Credit Card! Here Are the Details
Bitbank, a Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange, has launched a new credit card service that allows users to pay for their purchases directly with crypto assets. According to the company, the Visa card, called “EPOS Crypto Card for Bitbank,” is the first of its kind in the country.

The new product was developed in collaboration with EPOS Card. This system allows users to automatically pay for their credit card purchases with crypto assets held in their exchange accounts. Initially, this feature will be limited to Bitcoin. However, the company stated that it is considering integrating more crypto assets into the system in the future.

Another important feature offered by the card is the “crypto cashback” system. Users can earn rewards equivalent to 0.5% of their monthly spending. These rewards can be in the form of various digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Aster, and will be transferred directly to their Bitbank accounts.

We think it’ll be a lot more powerful than the large-cap earnings cycle. We also think they’re a lot cheaper. About 25 – 30 percent cheaper than large-caps. Plus, you have the optionality in the IPO market, which should help. And M&A is starting to pick up, which is also a really nice, you know, tailwind for the small-cap market.”In terms of the small-cap space, Tuorto argues that the “picks and shovels” side of AI is a smart way to secure gains on a longer timeline.“I think that you look at semiconductors. Semiconductor cap equipment, which was nowhere two years ago and now is a leading sector in the market. And some of this optical connectivity that needs to connect these data centers together. You know, there are a lot of opportunities here. A lot of ways to play it. A lot of different flavors of things to invest in. Gregaard stated, “What banks use today to secure themselves and verify their identities is the Legal Entity Identifier. Cardano ($ADA) is the only blockchain that can do this, and we are also leveraging some architectural elements of Bitcoin in this process.” He argued that $ADA could bring the standards used by traditional financial institutions to the blockchain world.
