Representative Sheri Biggs of South Carolina has disclosed a purchase of up to $250,000 in Bitcoin exposure via the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), marking one of the largest single Bitcoin-related buys by a sitting member of Congress.

The Periodic Transaction Report filed with the House shows a transaction in the $100,001-$250,000 range executed on March 4, 2026 and reported in mid-April, in line with disclosure deadlines under the STOCK Act.

The trade places Biggs among Congress's most aggressive adopters of Bitcoin investment products, a cohort that already includes Senator David McCormick and Representative Brandon Gill, who have collectively reported hundreds of thousands of dollars in Bitcoin ETF purchases over the past year.

The cryptocurrency market is usually characterized by technical moments, the exact points when a multi-month trend finally breaks and turns in a different direction. For $XRP, this may have occurred. A prominent crypto analyst Ali Martinez reports that there was a significant indication on the daily chart of $XRP that has occurred for the first time since January to show a significant bullish change in direction from being bearish.

A new sense of optimism comes from the SuperTrend indicator, which is an indicator that can be used to identify the overall direction of the price action for any market to at least some extent. The SuperTrend indicator has flipped back into Bullish mode after being in Bearish mode since January 17. This suggests that the selling pressure on $XRP may have peaked, after months of negative momentum.

Decoding the SuperTrend Signal

SuperTrend is a lagging indicator because it uses both price movement and volatility, most often measured by the Average True Range, to determine trend direction. When it changes from red to green or closes below the price action of the daily candle, it is generally a sign that the trend has shifted from distributive to accumulative.

In the past, $XRP has been known to spend months consolidating before making a sudden move to the upside. The most recent signal comes after an extended period of declining resistance. With the trailing support floor now in place as a supporting technical benchmark for bulls, the chance of a sudden “fake-out” back into the $1.10-$1.30 range is reduced.

In his post, the first catalyst The Real Remi Relief highlighted is the launch of X Money, a developing financial ecosystem associated with Elon Musk’s X social media platform. According to the analyst’s outlook, if the platform rolls out within the next one to two weeks and generates demand for crypto payment assets, the $XRP price could skyrocket to a range between $5 and $10.

$XRP, the native digital asset of the $XRP Ledger, flashed its first bullish technical signal in three months.

According to on-chain analyst Ali, the SuperTrend indicator on $XRP’s daily chart flipped to a buy signal on April 18, ending a stretch of sustained selling pressure that began in mid-January.

A rough start to the year

$XRP fell about 27% in the first quarter of 2026, dropping from roughly $2.4 in January to a low near $1.16, marking its worst quarterly performance in eight years.

The asset was trading at $1.44 at press time, down about 3% in the last 24 hours, per CoinGecko. It still sits over 60% below its record high of $3.6 reached last July.

$XRP continues to struggle around the $1.55 mark, which has repeatedly capped gains in recent weeks. Ali noted that a sustained break above it would expose upside toward $1.9, about 30% above current levels.
