The “timing” of Michael Saylor’s tweet couldn’t have landed at a worse moment.

From a technical perspective, BTC’s 1.7% decline saw it break below the crucial $80k level, which Bitcoin had only recently reclaimed after first losing it in mid-January.

In this context, Saylor’s potential sell signal appears to have acted as an additional catalyst that may have intensified downside momentum.

According to AMBCrypto, this is where timing begins to matter. As the chart below shows, Bitcoin profit margins have risen to nearly 20%, meaning traders are now sitting on their highest unrealized gains since June 2025.

Against this on-chain backdrop, Saylor’s tweet may have contributed to profit-taking pressure.

Iren stock stretches higher, but overbought momentum warns of a pause

Iren stock remains in a clear bullish regime, and that still defines the broader setup. However, the move looks stretched across the daily and hourly charts, while shorter-term signals point to consolidation rather than a fresh momentum breakout.

Iren Stock Analysis: Daily Trend Still Favors the Bulls

Iren stock closed at 60.66, well above the 20-day EMA at 48.86, the 50-day EMA at 45.57, and the 200-day EMA at 39.72. That separation reflects a strong trend rather than a fragile rebound. It also shows buyers still control the broader structure.

Notably, the daily close sits above the upper Bollinger Band at 59.12 and almost exactly on the daily pivot at 60.55. That reflects strong upside pressure. However, it also shows the move has become extended in the short run.

Momentum Remains Positive but Overbought

Momentum still supports the bullish thesis. Daily RSI stands at 70.64, which is an overbought reading. In practice, that does not automatically signal a reversal. Still, it warns that upside may become less efficient and more volatile from here.

At the same time, daily MACD remains firmly positive. The MACD line is at 3.76, above the signal line at 2.42, with a histogram of 1.34. Therefore, trend momentum remains aligned with the bulls, even if the pace of the advance now looks aggressive.

Volatility is also elevated. Daily ATR is 4.17, which is meaningful relative to the current price. That helps explain the wider intraday swings. As a result, traders should expect larger ranges and sharper pullbacks even if the broader uptrend remains intact.
