The broader cryptocurrency market held steady on Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC) trading above $74,500, Ethereum (ETH) hovering near $2,350, and XRP maintaining support around $1.40.
Improving macro sentiment has played a key role in stabilizing risk assets. According to Bloomberg, U.S. and Iranian officials are considering extending the ceasefire period to support further negotiations, helping ease geopolitical tensions and lift overall market confidence.
🔹 Risk Appetite Returns Across Markets
The improvement in sentiment is not limited to crypto. Traditional markets are also showing strength, with the S&P 500 hitting new highs this week and surpassing key levels for the first time.
Meanwhile, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization has rebounded sharply from recent lows of around $1.9 trillion to more than $2.53 trillion, signaling a broad recovery in risk appetite across financial markets.
🔹 XRP Leads Large-Cap Altcoins
Among major cryptocurrencies, XRP has emerged as a relative outperformer, gaining around 4% to $1.40, outpacing most large-cap altcoins.
Other top assets such as SOL and DOGE have also seen gains, but XRP’s strength stands out within the group.
🔹 Bitcoin Faces Short-Term Selling Pressure
Despite the recovery, on-chain data suggests caution in the near term. When Bitcoin surged toward $76,000, exchange inflows spiked significantly, reaching approximately 11,000 BTC per hour—the highest level since December 2025.
Such inflows often indicate profit-taking behavior from large holders, suggesting that some investors are using strength to distribute positions.

Paxos Labs raises $12mln to solve THIS DeFi ‘product problem’
Paxos Labs has raised $12 million to solve what the project calls DeFi’s ‘product problem.’ Notably, Paxos Labs is a spin-off of the crypto infrastructure firm Paxos.

Through its new Amplify, Paxos Labs believes it can make it super easy for users to earn yield, borrow, and lend assets at scale.

In a statement, Spencer Bogart, general partner at Blockchain Capital, an early investor and one of the key firms that led the latest fundraising round, said,

The infrastructure problem is largely solved. The product problem, what users and platforms actually do with these assets on-chain, is the largest open opportunity in fintech today, and this is the team to build it.

For the unfamiliar, Paxos is a white-label issuer or simply a service provider that helps other firms to create and manage their branded stablecoins.

However, the Paxos Labs spin-off was necessary to address the lack of clarity associated with DeFi regulation. Now, the team wants to go beyond branded stablecoins.

Paxos Labs’ Amplify plans

Amplify is a new stack by Paxos Labs that allows users to mint, earn, and borrow assets. For institutions, Amplify aims to help apps and other fintechs make on-chain assets more productive.

The end goal? Empower users to earn yield.

Commenting on the update, Bhau Kotecha, Co-Founder of Paxos Labs, said,

Is ‘buy and hold at JP Morgan’ really what digital assets were built for? That’s a failure. That’s not the mission. The first step was getting people in. The next step is making their assets productive. That’s what we’re building.

According to the team, Amplify has already shown traction. The project cited partners like privacy-focused chain Aleo, neobank Hyperbeat, and Toku, recording a surge in assets under management after it went live last week.

Ice Open Network News: CEO Cuts Monthly Costs by 89%, Promises New Product Launch in 8 Weeks
Ice Open Network’s CEO published a detailed update on Wednesday outlining dramatic cost cuts and a new strategic direction, two days after the project came close to announcing a full shutdown following the ION token crash.

Monthly operating costs have been reduced from approximately $400,000 to $45,000, an 89% cut achieved in 48 hours. The CEO described it as moving fast and cutting deep, keeping only what is essential.

“A good idea means nothing if execution is too slow,” the CEO wrote. “That is the lesson we are taking forward.”

What Changes Immediately

The company is now primarily a development team. Non-essential staff, overhead and side projects have been removed. The CEO said he will personally join the development effort to accelerate the timeline.

To fund operations, the company will activate an automatic daily sale of $1,500 worth of ION tokens from its treasury of just over 1 billion ION. The CEO acknowledged this was not an easy decision but described it as the practical path to keeping the project alive over the coming months.

The new product will be built in a closed-source environment during development. The reason given is speed rather than secrecy, with the CEO stating that shipping matters more than optics at this stage.

What the Community Has Not Been Told

In an unusual move, the CEO refused to reveal what the new product actually is. No details, no hints, no timeline beyond a four to eight week window before the first version goes live.

“We are not going to repeat the mistake of overpromising before delivery,” he said. “We will not reveal what we are building until it is ready.”
