XRP is well known for its payments capabilities, but according to Flare cofounder and CEO Hugo Philion, it has more to offer. Philion stressed Flares goal of turning XRP into a collateral asset instead of merely a transaction payment asset on the XRP ledger.Philion answered in the affirmative to the question of whether XRP can be used in strategies involving lending and vaults. (@RippleXDev) May 29, 2026 One of the key opportunities, Philion says, is using XRP as collateral for yield strategies. According to the Flare CEO, borrowing against XRP opens the door to a variety of yield-generating strategies. "So by taking your XRP and turning it into a collateral asset, you can then get yield through borrowing and then relending out those dollars," Philion said.

Expert predicts XLM is set for mega rally to $11

Stellar ($XLM) is gaining fresh bullish sentiment after a crypto analyst projected a potential breakout, forecasting a rally toward the $5-$11 range during the next altcoin season.

In this line, technical analysis shared by Mikky Bull Crypto in an X post on May 31 highlights a long-term ascending triangle pattern that has been developing on $XLM’s monthly chart since 2018.

The chart shows a series of higher lows forming along an upward-sloping support trendline, while price repeatedly encounters resistance near the same horizontal level.

The analysis suggests $XLM is forming a long-term ascending triangle, with repeated tests of support and resistance strengthening the bullish setup.

The latest pullback has returned the asset to a key rising support level that previously preceded major rallies, while momentum indicators have reached oversold zones similar to those seen before strong advances in 2020 and 2024.

If resistance is broken, the pattern points to a potential move toward the analyst’s $5-$11 target range, an increase of almost 4,500% from the current value.

The bullish outlook comes as $XLM continues to benefit from growing institutional interest and expanding real-world asset (RWA) tokenization developments on the Stellar network.

$XLM’s recent rally was driven by the DTCC’s decision to integrate its tokenization platform with the Stellar blockchain.

The initiative, which will begin testing in July 2026 ahead of broader deployment in 2027, could enable tokenized stocks, ETFs, U.S. Treasuries, and other traditional assets on Stellar.

The announcement sparked a surge of more than 70% in $XLM, pushing the cryptocurrency to its highest level of 2026 and outperforming the broader market.

Coinbase said on May 29 that Coinbase Financial Markets now gives eligible U.S. clients access to crypto derivatives markets, starting with Deribit options. The company described the unit as the first U.S.-regulated futures commission merchant to offer access to global crypto derivatives, including perpetual futures and options.
The launch follows action from Commodity Futures Trading Commission staff involving products listed on Deribit FZE, Coinbase's affiliated foreign board of trade. Coinbase said institutional clients can begin onboarding immediately through Coinbase Financial Markets, while retail access is planned for a later stage.

Coinbase said the first phase will focus on Deribit options, with crypto perpetual futures, more collateral options, and other derivatives products expected later. The company framed the rollout as a way for U.S. institutions to reach markets that have long been active offshore.

Speed and Momentum Behind the $XRP Ledger Surge
Real-world asset tokenization is the process of issuing traditional financial assets, such as Treasuries, money market funds, and corporate bonds, directly on blockchains. Evernorth analyzed how each network has scaled this activity over time.

The first trend involves raw scaling speed. The $XRP Ledger reached $400 million in tokenized value in 15 months, while Ethereum took 36 months to reach the same level from a similar starting point.

That puts the $XRP Ledger roughly tied with Solana, Arbitrum, and zkSync Era, the chains that many builders still consider the current frontier of tokenization. Only $BNB Chain and Plume scaled faster, but both had unusual circumstances.

$BNB Chain’s growth was driven almost entirely by a single concentrated asset. Plume launched into a market where the tokenization playbook was already well established, giving it a clear structural advantage from the start.
