The drop came as markets reacted to reports of renewed geopolitical tensions following U.S. military strikes on Iranian facilities. $83,000.However, analysts caution that the current consolidation may not reflect real stability. According to Ki Young Ju, founder of CryptoQuant, the broader market structure still resembles a bearish phase. On-chain indicators continue to point to weakening demand and prolonged distribution, suggesting the market could remain under pressure for an extended period. 2027." He tweeted on Friday.He added that a true trend reversal would require a return of sustained unrealized profits and renewed accumulation, conditions that have yet to materialize. Notably, CryptoQuant data also shows that whale activity, or wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC, has been declining at one of the fastest rates this year.
The pattern mirrors previous bear market phases, particularly 2022, when large holders shifted from accumulation to distribution as
market momentum faded. Moreover, smaller institutional-like holders, often referred to as
"dolphins" (100-1,000 BTC), have also seen a sharp slowdown in growth. After peaking at approximately +970,000 BTC in October 2025, their accumulation trend has now fallen significantly below historical averages.

Strategy Reverses Bitcoin Deposit

On-chain trackers first flagged the deposit as Strategy's earliest direct exchange transfer in nearly two years, a rare move for a company that almost never touches trading venues. The coins arrived in two batches of roughly 205 BTC each, landing on an institutional custody platform that traders often read as a staging ground for sales. Hours later, the same amount returned to the firm's own wallets.

Saylor had signaled earlier in the week that Strategy could sell some Bitcoin before year-end, citing dividend payments and capital needs rather than any loss of conviction. A recent $1.5 billion buyback of convertible notes had drained much of the company's cash, which sharpened speculation about how it would cover those bills. The deposit pushed Polymarket odds on a 2026 sale above 90% within hours.

"Did Michael Saylor's Strategy cancel its BTC sale?" one analytics account asked.

BitMine Doubles Ether Bet

Meanwhile, Tom Lee's BitMine Immersion Technologies bought 25,000 Ether (ETH) for $50.6 million on the same day, extending one of the largest corporate accumulation drives in the market. The purchase lifted its holdings near 5.39 million ETH, about 4.47% of supply and within reach of Lee's stated 5% target for the year. Ether has slid roughly 10% over the past month.

Stellar ($XLM) has completed a golden cross on its short-term charts as it gains bullish momentum.

$XLM posted a golden cross on its four-hour chart, with the 50 MA rising above the 200 MA. This follows an impressive surge in the week, with Stellar notching about 80% gains. Coincidentally, this signal appears on the majority of short-term charts, including the 1-hour, 2-hour, and 3-hour (albeit formed at different times), confirming the current bullish momentum.

Stellar saw three straight days of sharp increases, reaching a high of $0.297 on Saturday before it slightly retreated.

The rise began on Wednesday after DTCC and the Stellar Development Foundation announced plans to enable the tokenization of DTC-custodied assets on the Stellar network. DTC-tokenized assets are expected to become available on the Stellar network in the first half of 2027. The move is a big one, as DTCC sits at the center of U.S. market infrastructure and oversees more than $114 trillion in assets.

Stellar surpassed the daily MA 50 and 200 at $0.164 and $0.19, which had limited its price since the year's start. It consequently reached a high of $0.297 on Saturday, last seen since November 2021.

$XLM currently trades at $0.253, up 19% in the last 24 hours as buying pressure increased.

Stellar open interest soars amid rising demand
Meanwhile, demand for Stellar derivatives continues to be on the rise, as seen in the perpetual futures Open Interest (OI) rising significantly. This increase suggests that retail traders are confident in $XLM's short- to medium-term outlook and are willing to open new positions.

Stellar's open interest is currently higher, up 21.78% in the last 24 hours to $378.99 million.
