Co-Founder of Blockstream: Decided Not To Issue Coins Very Early

Many start-ups in the cryptocurrency industry have faced financing difficulties over the past year. In response, Erik Svenson, co-founder and CFO of blockchain infrastructure company Blockstream, said, "I think investment in cryptocurrencies peaked in early last year. The Bitcoin track itself has always been a capital-deficient area. We decided not to issue our own tokens very early on. We didn't conduct an ICO like many projects, so we've always relied on more traditional venture capital."
