Powell: Fed ready to raise rates further if appropriate

Powell stated that if appropriate, the Federal Reserve is prepared to further raise interest rates. Achieving the 2% inflation target requires growth below trend and a slowdown in the labor market. Inflation data has become more favorable for us, but there is still a long way to go.
