According to a report from Jinse Finance, as disclosed by the Brazilian local media InfoMoney, a basket of currencies composed of the national currencies of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa may be named R5, because the first letter of the currencies of the five countries are all "R", namely the Brazilian Real, the Russian Ruble, the Indian Rupee, the Renminbi, and the South African Rand.
