Blockchain Capital Lianchuang was stolen due to personal information leakage worth 6.3 million US dollars in encrypted assets

On August 21st, according to Forbes, Bart Stephens, co-founder of cryptocurrency venture capital firm Blockchain Capital, was the victim of a SIM swapping attack in May of this year. He had $6.3 million worth of bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies stolen. It is reported that SIM swapping attacks typically rely on hackers manipulating or "social engineering" phone network customer service operators to disclose victims' personal information. Then, the hackers use that information to pass security tests and port victims' phone numbers to new SIM cards and phones under their control.
