Blockchain intelligence company TRM Labs has released a special report, which points out that North Korean hackers have stolen $200 million in cryptocurrency this year, accounting for over 20% of all stolen cryptocurrencies in the past 23 years. In the past five years, cybercriminals have stolen more than $2 billion in funds. A spokesperson for TRM Labs said that North Korean hackers use various techniques to launder stolen funds, mainly by crossing chains to mixers and then quickly cashing out through exchange accounts. These exchanges usually have lower KYC or anti-money laundering standards. After OFAC sanctioned Tornado Cash, Sinbad is usually used for mixing.
