Visa Tests Support for Credit or Debit Card Payments for On-Chain Gas Fees in Fiat

On August 11th, payment giant Visa announced that it has completed testing for users to directly pay for Gas fees on the blockchain using a credit or debit card in a legal manner. According to a statement, the experiment was conducted on the Ethereum Goerli test network, using the payment master contract to represent users in paying for Gas fees. This means that users can send blockchain transactions without having to worry about maintaining an Ethereum balance. Visa believes that this contract can make it easier for a wider range of users to conduct transactions.
