Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder and former CEO of Thodex, has been sentenced to seven months and 15 days in prison for failing to submit requested documents during his trial. Özer was detained in Turkey after Thodex, once one of the country's largest crypto exchanges, suddenly shut down and he fled to Albania. He has denied all charges and claimed that a trustee was appointed to run the business on his behalf during the timeframe in question. Özer also faces accusations of defrauding Thodex investors and awaits a hearing on the matter.
