Beware of Fake "Emergency" FTM Airdrop Scam Targeting Victims of Recent Crypto Hack

07/08 20:55

Scammers are attempting to scam victims of the recent cryptocurrency hack by promoting a fake "emergency distribution" campaign on Twitter. The campaign impersonates representatives of the Fantom Foundation and claims to be issuing FTM reserves to those affected by the hack. The scammers have created a fake Twitter account that mimics the legitimate page of the Fantom Foundation and are using Twitter bots to aggressively promote their scam. The recent hack of the Multichain bridge infrastructure resulted in the withdrawal of over $102 million in assets, making it the most suspicious crypto hack of 2023.
