Nodle Launches Low-Cost N1 Nanocomputer for IoT Devices with Open Source Code
07/07 12:06
Connectivity startup Nodle has unveiled the N1 Nanocomputer, a low-cost device that can enable Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The N1 is a printed design that can be produced and distributed in large quantities, with an estimated production cost of less than $3 when made in bulk. The device is eco-friendly and open source, and comes with basic sensors for temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, and light levels, with the ability to add more. The U.S. Army plans to use Nodle's device to scatter thousands of sensors behind enemy lines via drones or stratospheric balloons, bringing the concept of Smart Dust closer to reality.
