June 28 (Huobi) -Mobile phone monitoring app LetMeSpy has been hacked, exposing text messages, call logs and location information of thousands of people. The surveillance app, widely used on Android phones around the world, is designed to serve parents or employers. But it is also often quietly installed on the victim's mobile phone by spouses and other people who have physical contact opportunities to track their whereabouts in real time. Such surveillance software is notorious for having deep access to personal phones and is prone to bugs and data breaches. LetMeSpy, one of them, has become one of the latest spyware to be hacked or expose user data.
