According to businessinsider, certain assets of FTX Digital Markets have been frozen by the Bahamian securities regulator following a petition to the Bahamian Supreme Court and Brian Simms, K.C. has been appointed as provisional liquidator, according to the Bahamian securities regulator in its latest media release. In its announcement, the Bahamas Securities Commission noted that it was aware of statements of mishandling, mismanagement or transfer of client assets from FTX to Alameda Research and has now determined that the "prudent course of action" is to place FTX Digital Markets into temporary liquidation in order to "protect the assets and stabilise the company".
