South Korean Political Committee to discuss amendments to the basic law on digital assets on November 15

2022/11/07 08:20

According to CoinDesk Korea, the Korean Political Committee will hold its first bill review group meeting on November 15 to discuss amendments to the Electronic Financial Transactions Act and the Basic Law on Digital Assets. The bill prioritizes the protection of user assets and defines unfair trading practices, such as the use of undisclosed information, market price manipulation, or self-issued digital asset transactions, which can lead to property confiscation or additional expropriation. Additionally, the proposed bill imposes a duty on virtual asset operators to self-monitor and report at all times so that they can self-regulate the industry.
