ApeCoin community AIP-134 proposal has split opinions, and the current opposition rate is close to 50%

2022/10/30 13:36

The Apecoin DAO voted this week on a major Ape improvement proposal, AIP-134, which, if passed, would create a staking bug bounty program and delay Ape staking rewards until December 7.
AIP-134 was submitted by Maaria Bajwa, a member of the Apecoin DAO Special Committee. Currently, the proportion of negative votes has reached 48.8%, and the proportion of affirmative votes has a slight lead of 51.2%. The voting will end on November 3.
Maaria Bajwa admitted that if the proposal passes staking, the rewards will not start to accumulate on November 14, which will lead to damage to the interests of some stakers. Previously, ApeCoin DAO approved $175 million worth of APE to be distributed through staking in the next three years. Proposal (AIP-22), accounting for 17.5% of the total APE supply.
