Google already acquired Twitter-owned Alter for $100 million two months ago

According to Caixin, Google has acquired artificial intelligence (AR) avatar startup Alter for about $100 million to enrich Google Play. Alter helps creators and brands express their virtual identities. The source said the acquisition was completed about two months ago, but neither company has disclosed it to the public. some of Alter's executives have updated their LinkedIn profiles to share that they have joined Google, but there was no mention of the acquisition. Alter is said to have received $3 million in seed funding from investors including Play Ventures, Roosh Ventures and Twitter.
