Web3 Startup Spindl Closes $7 Million in Funding

2022/10/19 20:03

Miami-based Web3 startup Spindl closed a $7 million round of funding backed by DragonFly Capital, Chapter 1, Polygon Ventures, Tribe Capital, Multicoin and a handful of angel investors, with the new money going to expand hiring. García Martínez, founder of Spindl, said the company is trying to recreate for Web3 a fundamental part of the back end of Web2 e-commerce, namely how internet businesses can track where their customers are coming from and develop customer acquisition strategies to attract more users. For example, Spindl can analyse Discord posts, Reddit forums, adverts and other internet links, pairing this data with in-chain behaviours such as purchases, sales and transactions to create profiles that help protocols understand where traffic is coming from.
