Japanese government cabinet meeting approves legal amendments to combat cryptocurrency money laundering

According to Coinpost, the Japanese government passed 6 legal amendments including the Foreign Exchange Law at the cabinet meeting as measures to prevent money laundering. Operators of cryptocurrency trading businesses will be required to confirm information such as user names, and penalties for money laundering-related crimes will also increase. Amendments to the law approved by Cabinet will be presented to this session of Congress.
