OpenAI Introduces Codex 'Record and Replay' Feature to Transform Demonstrated Workflows into AI Skills

06/19 03:50

According to monitoring by Beating, OpenAI has introduced a new feature called 'Record and Replay' for its coding agent Codex. This feature allows users to demonstrate a routine repetitive workflow (such as filling out an expense report or submitting a vacation request) to Codex, which can then convert the demonstration into a structured skill that can be reviewed and edited for future automated reuse. Users have control over when to start and stop the recording. This feature is currently available only on the macOS client and is an optional configuration. In the initial release phase, its availability excludes the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland; additionally, users or their administrators must enable 'Computer Use' permissions to utilize this feature.
