CryptoSlate's Bitcoin market data shows BTC at $64,672. Reaching the recent-buyer cost basis near $69,000 requires a gain of about 6.69%, while a decline to Glassnode's displayed realized price of $52,891.91 would represent an 18.22% decline.

Those levels define a two-sided test. A spot-driven reclaim of the recent-buyer basis would strengthen the case that Bitcoin has formed a higher low. Continued weakness below it would leave the lower realized-price boundary exposed if selling pressure accelerates again.The bottoming data has improved since early July. Long-term-holder losses have begun cooling, and buyers absorbed the June lows. Demand has yet to complete the signal, leaving Bitcoin between an easing selloff and an unconfirmed recovery.Realized price is realized capitalization divided by circulating supply. It estimates the average price at which the existing Bitcoin supply last moved on-chain. Spot above the metric leaves the aggregate holder base in unrealized profit, while a move below it puts the market as a whole into net unrealized loss.

Bitcoin's on-chain data reveals whether demand is strong enough to sustain the current recovery.

As market pressure persists, investor behavior is becoming just as important as Bitcoin’s price action. According to recent on-chain data, newer Bitcoin [BTC] buyers are increasingly incurring losses rather than waiting for a recovery.

That trend is becoming much clearer. The 30-day average of Bitcoin sent to exchanges at a loss has climbed to 2,450 BTC.

Rather than reflecting routine profit-taking, the shift points to capitulation among investors who bought their coins between $75,000 and $126,000.

Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox has explained how the network’s July 28 Ironwood hard fork will address uncertainty around a critical flaw in the Orchard shielded pool.

The upgrade will not identify or freeze individual counterfeit coins. Instead, it will seal the old pool and limit how much $ZEC can leave.

In a July 19 post on X, Wilcox explained how the planned upgrade would deal with any hidden excess supply if the flaw was exploited before developers patched it. Because Orchard hides transaction details, the network cannot prove that counterfeit $ZEC was never created.

Bitcoin — BTC, has faced another sharp correction, leaving many investors questioning the market’s direction. Fear often grows during large pullbacks, especially after extended declines from record highs. However, fresh on-chain data presents a calmer picture. Several key indicators suggest experienced investors remain confident despite recent weakness. Rather than signaling a market collapse, current conditions may reflect a healthy reset before another stage of the broader bull cycle begins.

Long-term Holders Continue Showing Confidence

CryptoQuant contributor CryptoZeno recently examined Bitcoin’s long-term holder MVRV metric. The findings suggest current market conditions differ from previous cycle tops. Bitcoin currently trades near $64,500 after gaining about 4% during the past day. Even so, the price remains roughly 49% below the previous all-time high. The MVRV indicator focuses on investors holding Bitcoin between six months and ten years. According to CryptoZeno, those experienced holders continue showing patience.

Previous market peaks during 2017 and 2021 displayed much higher MVRV readings. Those elevated levels often reflected aggressive profit-taking before major downturns. Current readings tell a different story. The indicator remains well below historical danger zones. That suggests long-term investors have not rushed toward exchange exits. Instead, many continue holding through market volatility. Another encouraging signal comes from the long-term holder cost basis.
