BIP-110, formally titled the Reduced Data Temporary Soft Fork, is basically a fight over what Bitcoin block space is for.

Bitcoin transactions can carry money and extra data. An OP_RETURN section is the obvious “note field” for small bits of data within transactions, and data pushes are another route - where users can place larger chunks of raw data inside Bitcoin script or witness data. Ordinals, inscriptions and some token schemes use those paths to put images, text or token metadata onchain.

Donald Trump’s latest Truth Social post on the Iran war has renewed fears across global markets, sending investors away from riskier assets such as Bitcoin. As Iran war updates continue to unfold, analysts say the Bitcoin price could face additional selling pressure before its next major rally.

Trump Warns Iran of Military Response
U.S. President Donald Trump on Truth Social has warned Iran against any attack. On July 10, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that “1,000 missiles are locked and loaded” and aimed at Iran.

He warned that thousands more would follow if the Iranian government acted on its alleged threats.

The statement came after reports that Israel shared intelligence with the U.S., claiming Iran had developed a new plot to assassinate Trump. The alleged plan was reportedly linked to senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ahmad Vahidi.

Why Could Bitcoin Price Fall?
Bitcoin has often reacted negatively whenever geopolitical tensions increase. Since the conflict intensified earlier this year, Bitcoin has struggled to maintain its upward momentum. 

The cryptocurrency fell from around $70,000, before recovering to nearly $82,792 in May as geopolitical tensions eased.  However, BTC has since slipped back to around $64,211 as fresh fears returned to the market.

If tensions continue to rise, analysts believe Bitcoin could see another wave of selling before buyers step back into the market.

Trader Expects One Final Pullback
Crypto analyst Merlijn The Trader believes Bitcoin is still moving through the final phase of its current market cycle before the next major rally begins.

However, the token has been falling lower since the attempted rally beyond $0.10 in early June. Despite the recent gains, the downtrend has yet to be broken.
The Robinhood Earn feature, launched on the 1st of July, has also been a big plus for Ethena. The network observed in a post on X that Ethena represented over 70% of the asset allocation from Robinhood user deposits. Ethena seeded $50 million into a USDG vault on Morpho, chosen by Steakhouse Financial. This inflow pushed the Robinhood Chain’s TVL up by 160%.
Contrasted against this positive news for the synthetic dollar protocol was the Whale Alerts post on X that showed a 1.231 billion ENA transfer, worth $94 million, between two unknown wallets.

The Ethereum Foundation has successfully used an AI agent to discover a security vulnerability in client software, demonstrating a scalable new method for improving network security, although human oversight remains essential.

The Ethereum Foundation’s Protocol Security team announced it successfully used a coordinated army of AI agents to discover a remotely triggerable bug in the libp2p Gossipsub networking layer, a core component for consensus.

The vulnerability was patched after human review. This is bullish for Ethereum’s long-term security posture. It demonstrates a proactive, scalable approach to finding vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them, potentially strengthening institutional confidence in the network’s resilience

Also, a Grayscale report highlights Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, and Avalanche as the blockchains best positioned to benefit from the growing trend of stock tokenisation, reinforcing their  investment case as foundational layers for real-world assets (RWAs).

Investors are bracing for a week of high volatility as critical macroeconomic events coincide with rising geopolitical tensions. The upcoming release of the US Consumer  Price Index (CPI) will be a key data point, with a higher-than-expected reading likely to amplify fears of persistent inflation.

$2 XRP Is Not a Forgotten Dream Yet, Bollinger Bands Suggest

After a prolonged pullback from the 2026 peaks, when $XRP traded above $3, the token appears to have once again caught the attention of major capital. Amid a local market decline, the Bollinger Bands technical indicator by TradingView has produced a setup suggesting that the ambitious target of $2 per coin remains in play.

Right now, however, $XRP is going through a harsh stress test that will determine its trajectory for the second half of the year.

Point of maximum pain
The current week has been tense for $XRP holders. On the weekly chart, the price fell to $1.1018, coming close to testing the lower Bollinger Band at $1.0562.

However, this local storm reveals an interesting picture, showing that the $2 target is not based on empty expectations:

Sellers are reaching their limit: The weekly RSI has fallen to 33.78. The market is extremely oversold, meaning bears have almost no room left to push the price lower without triggering a strong rebound.
The broader structure remains intact: On the monthly timeframe, there is no sign of panic. Buyers are confidently holding the crucial Bollinger Bands midline, the 20-period SMA, at $1.1039. As long as this monthly support remains intact, the broader bullish trend has not been broken, while the RSI near 41.87 gives the price considerable room for growth.
The technical compression on the charts has coincided with a strong news backdrop in early July, helping keep the token afloat.

First, while retail traders are locking in losses, institutional investors are doing the opposite. $XRP ETFs have recorded capital inflows for nine consecutive weeks, bringing their total assets under management to $1.49 billion.
