XLM falls despite Stellar’s $114T tokenization opportunity – Just bad timing?

Stellar [XLM] has been among the top chains when it comes to tokenization. However, it trails behind Securitize, Ondo Finance [ONDO], and Centrifuge [CFG], among others. They occupy the top three positions in terms of tokenized market cap.

Despite being among the trendy tokens, the price of XLM crypto is down about 2.60% in the past 24 hours, trading at around $0.1830. Interestingly, its chain activity remains sizeable.

The tokenization narrative is making XLM crypto one of the trendiest chains. The good news is that its fault tolerance and institutional trust have been improved. This is because MoneyGram, Figure, and Range became XLM’s tier 1 validators.

On top of that, Stellar has partnered with DTCC to tokenize more than $114 trillion in securities by 2027. Moreover, Tradable would make a transfer of $1 billion in private credit through Stellar.

Both moves bridge traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi), enhancing blockchain infrastructure in financial markets.

As such, it is expected to grow the market cap of tokenized securities on XLM even further. At press time, this cap had already exceeded $2.90 billion.

The tokenized stablecoin market cap on Stellar was above $689 million at press time. This showed a big chunk of capital was moving through the chain. This resulted in high network activity.

In fact, the number of transactions on XLM was averaging 5.5 million per day. In total, more than 37.9 million transactions were processed this week, reinforcing the chain’s usage for tokenization.

TRUMP price slides toward $1.50 despite Trump’s $1.4B crypto windfall

Official Trump [TRUMP] extended its broader downtrend this week, with the memecoin trading near the key $1.50 level as bearish momentum continued to weigh on its price.

The decline stands in stark contrast to the financial performance of U.S. President Donald Trump’s broader crypto ventures. 

A Reuters analysis of financial disclosures found that Trump received more than $1.4 billion from Trump-family crypto ventures in 2025, including income linked to World Liberty Financial and the TRUMP memecoin.

At press time, TRUMP was trading around $1.53 on Binance, placing the memecoin within touching distance of the psychologically important $1.50 level.

The 12-hour chart showed a sustained bearish structure stretching back to May. After trading around $2.50 in early May, TRUMP recorded a series of lower highs and lower lows, interrupted by a brief rally towards $2.40 in June.

That recovery proved short-lived, however, as sellers regained control and pushed the token steadily lower.

TRUMP’s Relative Strength Index [RSI] stood at 35.67, indicating that bearish momentum remained dominant. However, the indicator was approaching the oversold threshold of 30, potentially making the $1.50 region an important area to watch for buyers.

A decisive breakdown below this level could reinforce the existing bearish structure. Conversely, holding $1.50 could provide a base for an attempted short-term recovery.

Bitcoin bottom countdown nears 50 days after BTC supply in loss passed 50%
Bitcoin ($BTC) has been counting down to its next bottom for nearly two months, a classic onchain metric suggests.

Key points:

$BTC supply in loss passed 50% for the first time this bear market in early June.

In previous bear markets, that event sparked a countdown to a new $BTC price macro bottom.

Separate data hints that the bull market’s “emotional premium” has now gone.

In its H1 2026 Round-Up report, crypto research company K33 Research flagged more than 50% of the $BTC supply now being held at a loss.

A typical bear-market feature, supply in loss has become a yardstick for progress toward macro bottoms for $BTC/USD.

K33 data shows that once supply in loss passes the 50% mark, the bottom has come no more than 101 days later. Bear markets have provided various time frames, with the shortest bottom “window” lasting just 13 days in 2022.

The 2018 bear market required 23 days to reach its floor, while in 2014, Bitcoin continued to decline for 101 days after the 50% supply-in-loss mark was hit.

In 2026, supply in loss repeated standard bear-market behavior, crossing 50% on June 5. Since then, 42 days have elapsed, making this year’s bottom window Bitcoin’s second-longest ever.

In accompanying commentary, K33 observed that returns over the year following the phenomenon “tend to be very solid.”

Earlier this month, Axel Adler Jr., a contributor to onchain analytics platform CryptoQuant, estimated that supply in loss was around two months away from levels that correspond to bear-market bottoms.

CryptoQuant data puts supply in loss at 46% as of July 17.
