Argentina’s market grew out of economic instability, where digital assets became a tool for protecting savings and making payments. Meanwhile, Spain developed within the European Union’s regulated financial system, focusing on clear rules, institutional support, and long-term growth.

While both countries have embraced crypto, they excel in different areas. Comparing them side by side shows which nation has the advantage across the industry’s key pillars.

Argentina has a stronger crypto adoption story. Digital assets are part of everyday financial life, not just an investment. Years of high inflation and the peso’s depreciation have pushed millions of Argentines toward cryptocurrencies, especially stablecoins, to preserve their purchasing power.

Between July 2024 and June 2025, the country processed around $91–94 billion in on-chain transaction volume, making it Latin America’s second-largest crypto market after Brazil. More than 10 million people actively use crypto wallets, and over 60% of transactions involve stablecoins.

Spain’s adoption is also impressive, but the motivation is different. Most people use crypto for investing and digital payments instead of replacing traditional money. More than 25 million users are expected by 2026, while the market is projected to grow from about $40 billion in 2024 to $92 billion by 2033. However, crypto remains an optional financial product rather than a necessity for most Spaniards.

Rather than identifying or freezing individual counterfeit coins, Ironwood will permanently seal the old Orchard pool and introduce a new shielded pool with updated cryptography.
A key feature of the upgrade is the "turnstile" mechanism, which ensures that no more ZEC can leave the old pool than was legitimately deposited. If any counterfeit coins were ever created before the vulnerability was patched, they would remain permanently trapped in the retired pool instead of entering circulation.
Developers have stated there is no evidence the vulnerability was exploited, but because Orchard transactions are fully private, it is impossible to prove with absolute certainty that hidden inflation never occurred.
Wallets and exchanges may temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals while upgrading their systems for Ironwood.
In my view, Ironwood highlights an important evolution in privacy-focused blockchain design—protecting user privacy while introducing stronger safeguards for supply integrity and network trust.

Ethereum’s [$ETH] attempted rebound faced rejection at $1,944 three days ago. The pullback pushed $ETH to $1,819 before it recovered slightly.

At press time, Ethereum traded near $1,823 after falling 3.6% over 24 hours. The decline attracted substantial whale activity, although sellers retained control of the market.

CryptoQuant’s Spot Average Order Size recorded large whale orders for seven consecutive days.

However, the metric captured both buying and selling activity. Therefore, it confirmed whale participation without establishing a clear direction.

Lookonchain also reported that two newly created wallets withdrew 20,000 $ETH from Coinbase Prime. The withdrawal was worth $37.72 million and occurred in two batches of 10,000 $ETH.

According to the tracker, the associated whale had accumulated aggressively during the previous three days.

On the 16th of July, the whale purchased 30,000 $ETH, worth $57.6 million. Its three-day accumulation reached 89,396 $ETH, valued at approximately $164.88 million.

Buying during a decline suggested that the whale expected stronger prices. However, one entity’s activity could not confirm broader confidence.

CoinGlass data showed that Ethereum’s Spot Netflow remained negative for two consecutive days.

At press time, Spot Netflow stood at -$23.6 million, compared with -$49 million the previous day. Therefore, net outflows continued but slowed considerably.

Negative Spot Netflow indicated that more $ETH left exchanges than entered them. This trend aligned with the reported whale withdrawals. Even so, Exchange Outflows alone could not establish that every withdrawal represented accumulation.
