Samsung Wallet is getting native stablecoins - and it could make one token the default for 800M users

Some crypto investors raised an eyebrow this week when Samsung, in its official Galaxy Unpacked recap, said updates to Wallet "will also support stablecoins" and described the plan as native stablecoin capability on a smartphone.

Samsung's stablecoin roadmap opens a contest over which issuer and network could get the shortest path into Samsung Wallet.

Samsung offered no product specification beyond that sentence.

No issuer or token, blockchain, custody and redemption model, eligible markets, functions, or launch date are confirmed. Samsung introduced no new dedicated crypto wallet at Unpacked. Also, the Wallet product and some crypto connections already existed.

So why are people getting so excited? Product mechanics will decide the scale of the distribution effect. A native flow for holding, sending, receiving, or paying could make Samsung Wallet a meaningful distribution surface for the selected stablecoin and rails.

A funding link, account view, or limited partner integration would extend Samsung's existing crypto access with a smaller effect on stablecoin payments. Samsung has announced neither version.

DOGE saw a 92.7% increase in trading volume over the course of the day, indicating renewed trader interest despite comparatively muted price action, while almost all of the major cryptocurrencies saw decreasing activity. According to the most recent market data, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and BNB all saw declines ranging from about 35% to over 45%, while Bitcoin's trading volume fell by more than 55% over the previous day. Dogecoin, on the other hand, moved in the opposite direction and became the obvious anomaly among large-cap cryptocurrencies as its daily volume increased to about $1.55 billion. The price chart demonstrates that DOGE spent several weeks consolidating close to the $0.07 support area before the abrupt spike in activity. In the most recent session, buyers intervened, raising the token by nearly 6% and enabling it to return to the 50-day moving average. The move breaks a pattern of stagnant trading that had dominated July, despite being comparatively small compared to earlier Dogecoin rallies. Since volume expansion frequently comes before more significant directional changes, it is especially crucial. Dogecoin's most recent advance coincides with a significant increase in market activity, which suggests that new capital is entering rather than current traders merely switching positions, in contrast to price spikes that happen on weak participation. The picture painted by derivative data is similarly positive.

With HYPE prolonging its stay below $60, the project once again used its revenue to reduce inflation. Since August 2025, the Hyperliquid network has generated $800 million in net income, with HyperCore accounting for 95% of the income.

Interestingly, most of the funds generated have been spent on token buybacks. Out of the $1.03 billion generated, $1.01 billion has been used for buybacks and burnsOver the past day, for example, Hyperliquid generated $1.4 million in fees and burned 20.64K HYPE worth $1.2 million. However, despite the buyback and burns, the capital spent here has plummeted significantly, falling 61%.

With the recent burn, Hyperliquid has burned 4.73% of the token’s supply according to Onchain Lens. This also marks over 15% of the currently circulating supply.The sustained capital deployment toward deflationary measures has gone a long way toward stabilizing the HYPE token. As a result, HYPE has remained strong even during a prolonged period of broader market weakness.Sustained capital deployment to ease pressure has significantly played a major role in boosting investor confidence. As a result, buyers have continued to pile in even during pullbacks.

On the Spot side, for example, the Netflow has remained positive for two consecutive weeks. As of this writing, Netflow was -$598k, a significant drop from -$3.2 million the previous day, reflecting strong buying pressure.
