Crypto funds snap five-week outflow streak, drawing $1B amid Bitcoin whale accumulation

Digital asset investment products posted their first inflows in five weeks, pulling in more than $1 billion after a $4 billion run of outflows, CoinShares reported Monday.

Analysts suggested that the turnaround might have been driven less by macro catalysts and more by market dynamics, including prior price weakness, technical resets, and renewed accumulation by large Bitcoin holders.

Bitcoin led the rebound, attracting around $881 million in new capital.

Ethereum, the second-largest crypto asset, posted $117 million in inflows, its strongest weekly performance since mid-January.

Both assets nonetheless remain in net outflow territory in 2026.

Investors pumped approximately $54 million into Solana funds last week. Solana continued to lead altcoins on a year-to-date basis, reflecting sustained interest in higher-beta opportunities.

Chainlink, an oracle network that feeds external data to smart contracts, added $3.4 million.

Regionally, flows were broadly positive, led by the US, with continued inflows across Canada and parts of Europe.

The resurgence in whale accumulation, alongside renewed institutional buying, suggests investors are increasingly focused on identifying entry points following recent market weakness, pointing to potential transitions from distribution to early-stage accumulation.

Modest inflows into short-Bitcoin products suggest that while some investors are positioning for upside, others are maintaining hedges against further volatility.

The company repurchased 782,408 shares over the past 10 days at a significant discount to NAV.
ProCap Financial (BRR), the first publicly traded agentic finance firm, has purchased 450 bitcoin BTC$67,251.75, increasing its total holdings to 5,457 BTC.

The acquisition makes ProCap the 19th largest publicly traded holder of bitcoin, while lowering the company’s average cost basis per coin.

Chairman and CEO Anthony Pompliano said the company is executing a dual strategy, “buying bitcoin to average down our total cost basis and buying back our own stock when the market misprices it,” adding that both actions are accretive to shareholders. He noted the firm’s disciplined balance sheet has positioned it to take advantage of bitcoin’s pullback from its all time high.

ProCap also repurchased 782,408 shares of its common stock over the past 10 days at a significant discount to net asset value (NAV). The company said the discount to NAV has narrowed during that period and plans to continue buybacks as long as the shares trade below intrinsic value.

Shares of BRR showed signs of a lift in pre-market trading on very thin volume, while bitcoin traded above $66,000.

InComm and SKUx Expand Digital Aid Payments

InComm Payments, global payments technology provider, and SKUx, mobile wallet network, announced a strategic partnership focused on digital payment distribution for humanitarian aid and emerging markets. The companies plan to combine retail infrastructure with blockchain tools to improve how funds are delivered and tracked.

The joint solution will allow organizations to issue branded digital payments with item-level controls. Funds can be limited to specific goods and used at approved locations. The system is designed to ensure that aid or promotional budgets are spent for their intended purpose. The platform will operate through InComm’s retail network and SKUx’s blockchain-based distribution system, including its SKUPay retail integrations with point-of-sale providers.

The partnership targets government agencies, nonprofits and consumer packaged goods companies. Both firms are members of Payments As A Lifeline, a nonprofit organization focused on financial resilience in the United States.

Bitcoin surges above $68,000 amid muted stock market reaction to Iran war

At their worst levels, U.S. stock index futures had been down more than 2%, but equity markets are barely lower one hour into Monday's trading session.
Bitcoin climbed to $68,600 in early U.S. trading on Monday.

The gains came as U.S. stocks slumped far less than feared following the U.S. strikes against Iran over the weekend.

Economic data released Monday showed the U.S. economy accelerating strongly in February.
Crypto prices are rebounding from their worst weekend levels in early U.S. trading on Monday alongside a sizable bounce in U.S. equity indices.

Roughly one hour into the session, the Nasdaq is down just 0.1% after futures at one point overnight had indicated a plunge of more than 2%. The S&P 500 and DJIA are also posting just very modest losses.
Gold remains higher by 2% and crude oil by 7%. The U.S. dollar index is having one of its strongest sessions in weeks, gaining 1%.

Bitcoin BTC$66,352.16 has moved up to $68,600, ahead 2.3% over the past 24 hours. Ether (ETH) is higher by 1.4%, with solana (SOL) and XRP (XRP) up similar amounts.

Crypto-related stocks are posting even larger gains, led by Circle's (CRCL) 12% advance. Strategy (MSTR) is higher by 6% and Galaxy Digital (GLXY) by 4.7%.

On the macro side, the ISM manufacturing PMI came in at 52.4, marking another month of sector expansion and the first consecutive run of expansions since the fourth quarter of 2022. This follows Friday’s Chicago Business Barometer, which rose to 57.7 in February 2026 from 54 previously, well above expectations of 52.8. The reading signals only the second expansion since November 2023 and reflects the strongest pace of US activity growth since May 2022.
